How did you start blogging? A homeschooling friend of mine has a personal blog, and handles the Nevada blog at Homeschoolblogger.com. After checking out her blogs, I decided to get my feet wet, so to speak.
Did you intend to be a blog w/a big following? If so, how did you go about it? No, I just found it a nice outlet for creative juices.
What do you hope to achieve or accomplish with your blog? Have you been successful? If not, do you have a plan to achieve those goals? I'm just journaling, and posting family life, and especially my poems. No specific goals.
Has the focus of your blog changed since you started blogging? How? I started by posting my own poetry. I've added more day to day stuff. I still post poems, but I've discovered themed days such as "Works For Me Wednesday" and "Show and Tell Friday", carnivals, tags, memes, etc. It's still an outlet.
What do you know now that you wish you'd known when you started? Not much! LOL. A little html, just enough to be dangerous.
Do you make money with your blog? No. I have Google Ads on the site, but it's not as if anyone ever clicks them, and so I think in a month and a half's time, my account is up to a whopping 18 cents! LOL!
Does your immediate or extended family know about your blog? If so, do they read it? If not, why? My hubby does, but I don't know that he reads. My Dad has the link, but I doubt he much reads it either. It's really just my little corner of cyberspace.
What two pieces of advice would you give to a new blogger? Blog safe, don't give out too much personal info. Don't be afraid to ask questions of those with more experience.
Not very exciting, but this is officially my 200th post, so I think this is an appropriate blog entry!
