Just plain cute...

2yo dd is pretty good with her verbal skills. She's right in the middle of any cooking or baking project, telling me, "I a good helper!" She's hot on my trail when I head to the garden, eager to pick a radish or trample a tomatillo plant.

Last night on a drive back from the "big city", she was a little cranky...okay, a lot cranky. Trying to keep her settled so Daddy could drive, I asked her some questions...it worked a little bit. The funniest response had to be when I asked, "Where's the moon?" The response: "Lost it!"

It seems you can have a room full of kids at various ages and ask them to find something, and it is the two year old that runs it to you before the others even begin to look.

to have a helper. I am so glad I have a daughter to help me also. It seems when my sons got to their teen years, they didn't want to help as much.
After reading your daughter's comment about the moon, it reminded me of my kids' favorite bedtime book, 'Goodnight Moon'. They always made it a point to act out the story. I sure am glad we never "lost it". They would have never gone to sleep. : ) Thanks for sharing these precious moments with us.
