Teenagers?!

Posted in I AM MOMMY
My second oldest dd reached a milestone earlier this week.  Wednesday, she celebrated her 13th birthday.  Thanks to generous grandparents and aunt and uncle, she's ready to stimulate the economy a bit!    The only problem is that our little town doesn't have much available that suits her tastes, and we've had some unfortunate luck when it comes to shopping for clothing online.  Bummer.  The eldest isn't nearly as picky.

Last night, 13 yo showed me her room, which she seems to rearrange at least every other month.  Astonishing.  Maybe I'm raising a future "Next HGTV Design Star".  I'm serious.  With a few of Mom's discarded knick-knacks, a couple of portable camp chairs, and assorted accents retrieved from various closets and rooms around the house, she transformed her room into quite a lovely little refuge!  Anyone who can do that with such minimal resources has great potential in the design realm!    Of course, she's the one I hire if I need a good reorganization in my kitchen.  Maybe I should let her redesign the living room?  I'll have to think on that one!

Happy Birthday to her! I enjoy Design Star! That is excellent that she has the gift to make a cozy spot out of what appears to be minimal items. =)
Blessings,

To your 13 year old. Our economy thanks her once she makes up her mine. Has she tried old navy on line?

I am inviting you to a fun, yet challenging tag. I hope it makes sense. The game itself was fun for my children and I to play.
Blessings,

officially now a teenager. I was the same way for years, rearranging the furniture until my husband made a few built-in and now I'm pretty much stuck with just moving the accents around. Great money in decorating. Maybe she could do a course in HS and get credit for what she has natural ability to do.
