Official zoo home pages usually have some great webcams and information. The Monterey Bay Aquarium website has various
webcams and educational
games and activities. You can check out the
giraffe cam and the
meerkat cam at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Smithsonian Zoological National Park has a large list of
animal webcams and lesson plans. SeaWorld.com has their great
Animal Bytes page full of animal fact sheets.
National Geographic has print-and-go
coloring books. and an A-Z
animals directory.
First-School.ws has plenty of activity and
coloring printables for the younger children. So does DlTK's
animal page. ABCTeach.com has theme units about
safari animals,
the zoo, and the
rain forest.
ChristianAnswers.net has lessons on
animals in the Bible, and you can also click and listen to the various sounds that animals make.
So if you're not heading over to the zoo anytime soon, you can still study the animals with all of the great resources we have online.
