Bottle Lady
529beanie made a bottle lady after reading my blog! Hers is really beautiful! Visit her site and see her doll.
This week's craft is a bottle lady. If you save a big soft drink container, you can make one of these.
Also you need
- some scraps of cloth,
- scissors,
- foam,
- yarn,
- googly eyes,
- pins
- and a glue gun.
The first thing I did was cut long strands of pink yarn for the hair. I put the yarn on the top of the bottle. It's best if you leave the top on. (I learned that the hard way). Then glue the yarn onto the bottle cap.
Next you should get some googly eyes and glue them on wherever you want the face to be. Cut the foam into a small smile. Then glue it on the face. Safety note -- ask your mom to glue things on because you might burn yourself.
Then cut out a long strip of cloth, any color. Wrap it around the bottle to make a shirt. Once you have it around the bottle, pin it so it will stay on. If you want a long skirt, like mine, do the same thing with a wider piece of cloth.
I cut a very skinny piece of cloth and made a belt.
You can glue foam hearts onto the clothes or color on them with permanent markers. Or you could put the bottle lady's hair up with small rubber bands.
