I hope your family collects recyclables because this craft will take a lot of boxes. And I hope you have little dolls to fit into your house.
These are my Polly Pockets and my bunny. They are small to fit in my dollhouse.
This is the completed house that I made.
The first room is the living room. I used a medium sized green and yellow box to be the coffee table. The doll is sitting on a couch made of a toothpaste box with brown construction paper cushions.
The rabbit is in the shower. I should have taken her clothes off. Now she's sopping wet. LOL! I used a candy tube for the shower.
I used a coffee box for the car. I cut out toothpaste box cardboard to make the wheels. And I cut a slot to make a door for the doll to get in.
My bunny is in the swimming pool. This was a moon cake box top.
I made a diving board for my bunny.
This is the bedroom. The bed is made of a matchbox and napkins for pillows and blankets. The bedside table is made of part of a toothpaste box. You can make little things for your doll like the calendar on the wall.
This is the garden. I moved the couch to the yard as a bench. I made by the trees by rolling up long pieces of construction paper.
For more about making your own dollhouse, visit THIS link or THIS one. And here is a Japanese site that has PDFs to print out. There are enough pictures that you can figure it out even if you can't read Japanese.
PS You will need very sharp scissors for this craft. It took me ages to cut out the shower door.
My name is Alison and I'm 13. I came over to your blog since I saw on my sister BookLover's blog that she had awarded you.
My sisters like to play with their little tiny dolls (about 1 in. tall!) and houses built of legos. I like to, too, sometimes! We also use white cardboard-type things that have a floor-plan drawn on it, and then we put tiny furniture in the rooms. It's lots of fun!
Come stop by my blog when you have a minute,
Alison
