Chapter one: The bank

It was a cold winter day when our story begins, as a mater a fact it was Christmas Eve. And one little penny lay in the bank

Waiting …waiting… waiting. Then he heard a little girl “hear is one whole dollar I want to keep one cent though”

She said as she opened her purse. Old Ben (the bank keeper) just laughed and said wait one minute. Our little penny

 Froze this might be his chance to be free!

clang, the key was inserted creeek the key turned and creeeeek once more the door opened. Pennies mined raced their were 37,000 pennies in this volt would old Ben choose him? Sure enough Old Ben reached in the volt and grabbed……penny! Penny was so happy he was finally free!

As the little girl reached out to receive the penny, penny knew that he was officially free! Then, a small money purse was opened and penny had a knew home. A pink fur trimmed one at that.

For a couple hours penny heard the girl who’s name was Sara talking with her mother. But then Sara walked to a candy shop,” one piece of cent candy please.” She said as she opened her purse. And penny was now in a candy shop.

Chapter two : The Candy store

Penny could smell the fresh pulled taffy from the drawer. He could hear the children debating if they wanted berry candy or chocolate. He loved the smell of the candy shop he was in a drawer with a lot of coins.

Their was even a dollar coin! penny loved the place but he knew sooner or later he would have to leave. The second customer was a fat gentleman and he had one dollar

And was going to use it all! All at once the fat man had chosen an assortment of Jelly beans, chocolate, and taffy! The store keeper reached in his drawer and pulled out a dime “here” he said. And not even a second 

 Or time was used and the man was gone! The third customer was a little boy who just came to look. The forth was a little girl with long black hair and she had a dog too! “I want 50 jelly beans, two pounds of chewing gum, 10 chocolate bars, and 20 lollypops.” “And I don’t want your filthy change!” She yelled.

“Who is that?” penny asked a dime that’s

Hope smith,” he said she comes every Sunday to buy candy.” ”Does she eat it all by herself?” asked penny. ”Yes! And she wont share!” penny thought for a minute “I’m glad she doesn’t want change or else I might have to go with her!” he said. The last customer was a tall young man “Father!” he cried “I need to buy some of your best heart chocolate I’m going to purpose to Marry

Wilkerson!” He said “hurry I don’t have much time!” “here is 20 $ just give me the change and I’ll be off!” As fast as he could the old man put some chocolate in a box, reached down in his drawer and took out penny. “Here” he said “Go, Go!” and at that the tall man was gone with penny in his pocket and a new adventure began.
