A few day's ago we went on a couple field trips. The first one was a cookie factory. I got to see how they made the cookies and when you go to the stores to buy them, the mini-cookies are only $0.99! We were able to sample cookies just out of the oven.
Next, we went to one of our local news stations. It was very big and since was the first time I ever went, it was quite a surprise. We got to meet the sports reporter and he gave us free footballs (the little plastic kind). Then we were heading down to where they do the news, but they were doing a commercial so we had to go down to where the sattelites were and wait. It was outside so we played football while we waited. It took about 15-20 minutes to finish the commercial. That was good timing for a good game. When we went back in, we got to see the studio and meet our weather guy. Below is a picture of us on a TV screen doing the weather!

What you see on TV is not the way it really is. It is really just a big wooden green wall and the weather guy uses a projector to show the places, but he can't see them. He can look at the TV screen that is in front of him which shows him what we all see.
On another subject, I do guitar practice on Saturdays. I am still learning the basics, but it is getting easier and easier every week. It is fun, I can already play a song, it is just not that well yet, but I am getting the hang of it.
Now to the Hobbit like I said that I would. I just finished the chapter Flies and Spiders, I am going to tell you how the journey begins. It all starts out with a plain old hobbit called Bilbo. He has a wizard friend named Gandolf. Bilbo is told he will be a thief for this adventure. Him and 12 dwarfs have to go on the journey to stop the dragons smaug and to go through many riddles and to find many weird creatures like Gollum. If you ever read the book, I hope that you have a good time. I love it! Oh, yes, and when you get to the Elven Halls, it is really funny.
