You know you've lived in Wyoming to long when...

I have always hated camping as long as I can remember. From the lack of proper bathrooms, to the rain soaking the tent and sleeping bags, to the sleeping on the ground, to having a tiny makeshift kitchen, bugs...., cold nights ect..  Now my 3 older kids all love camping. Naomi went with Jon's parents a couple of years ago, granted they have a popup camper, with a kitchen and tv/vcr. My MIL even cooks gourmet meals while camping. The other kids went alot with their first foster family. So they have been bugging me for the last year to go camping. I know that they love it so much and of course every mom wants the best for their kids right? So I thought ,earlier this spring, that we could rent a camper and take them out for a couple of nights. Now what followed next I am still in shock about and wonder if perhaps I was sleep walking or something, but I cannot seem to prove it.  Alyvia and I went shopping at Walmart, we wanted to get those nice forks in the camping section for hot dogs or marshmellows. See Jon bought a fire pit for the patio and we wanted to roast marshmellows. Anyway, We wandered around the camping section looking at all the various supplies and I felt this strange urge to purchase EVERYTHING! Ok, this is totally not like me, my dh has been trying to get me to go camping for 10 years and I always tell him I love to camp in a HOTEL!  So we got what we needed and head home. As we are sitting on the porch roasting marshmellows with the kids, I tell Jon about this really nice tent I found and .... The next thing I know Naomi and Alyvia and I are pushing two carts through Walmart, buying camping supplies for the 6 of us! GASP! DID you fall over in shock? I still cannot figure out what came over me, but I came home and reserved two different camping sites for  trips on Jon's next two weeks off.  ( I made sure they had flushing toilets and we asked for the site right next to the bathrooms!) So we have One week in July and one in Aug planned. The kids are on cloud nine, and I am wondering if my brain was hijacked or something, but I am actually looking forward to it.  We have a 2 room, 8 person tent, and all the accessories or fixin's or whatever you want to call them. So I think we have lived to long in Wyoming, all these camping, hunting, fishing people here must be getting to me? Or maybe it is the lack of anything else to do around here, or maybe the price of gas? Who knows? All I know is that the next few weeks will be full of adventure ,good or bad. I just pray it does not rain.
