Assignment #12 Your State: Early State Settlement & Famous Landmarks

Although we are now one country, each state entered the union individually. So here is your next assignment. I made it a little longer but it shouldn't be to hard. See you on Thursday!

Early State Settlement

• Choose one location that was important early in your state's history.
• What is the name of location?
• When did it become important in your state?
• Who was a part of making this location an important part of your state?
• Why is/was this location important in your state?
• Post a map and point of the location of this place in your state

• Post pictures of famous landmarks in your state
• Give at least three sentences about each landmark and any info on it
• (when it was built? why is it a famous landmark? Who made it famous?
• Where is the landmark located?)
• Have you been to any of these landmarks?
• Which ones?
• Post a few pictures of your visit
• Write your thoughts about it
