Clear Shining After Rain

How Many Kings?

I have something great to share with you today.  You've probably all heard this song already, but just in case you haven't, here's How Many Kings? by Downhere.  The lead singer has a fantastic voice, and this is a live studio performance!  Incredible.  And check out what the drummer is 'playing'.  I predict you will get chills at the bridge--hauntingly beautiful.

Follow the star to a place unexpected
Would you believe, after all we’ve projected,
A child in a manger?

Lowly and small, the weakest of all
Unlikeliest hero, wrapped in his mother's shawl
Just a child
Is this who we’ve waited for?

'Cause how many kings stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many Gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that is torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?

Bringing our gifts for the newborn savior
All that we have whether costly or meek
Because we believe
Gold for his honor and frankincense for his pleasure
And myrrh for the cross he will suffer
Do you believe--is this who we’ve waited for?
It’s Who we’ve waited for

How many kings stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many Gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that is torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only one did that for me

All for me
All for you
All for me
All for you

Of course there is no way I can here this song because my daughter has moved my speakers to her computer. She didn't think I used them, she said.

Hey, where did you find this? Spirit 105.3 is OUR Christian radio station, KCMS, in Seattle. How very strange that you would find it. Can you imagine the terror if KCMS wanted an interview from me? Yikes! I'm glad the one I'm doing is clear across the country.

p.s. Are you doing a Show and Tell with this? You should! Very nice!
