Stella and I have attended ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) classes since she was a baby. Our first one was and infant massage class. We LOVE the teacher, so we've gone once a week ever since. We're now in the 2-3 group. It's pretty much just a playgroup. There are toys, paint, a sandbox, play kitchen, blocks.....they play for a while, then we have circle time and then snacks. While the kids snack, the parents go to another room with one of the teachers and discuss different issues. (we get a snack, too!) Today was our first day of the latest session. We knew two of the other 6 kids that were there. One boy that we know was out of town, but will be there next week. Stella did pretty well, although they had to get her pillow for her during storytime, I guess.

Later on we went to the library to pick up some books/videos and to sign up for preschool storytime. It starts in October and meets once a week for 30 minutes. I'm looking forward to having 30 minutes ALL BY MYSELF in the library. She LOVES the children's librarian, so I'm sure she'll be fine.

I actually got her to nap today. She was up a bit late last night which surprised us, as the three of us went on a hike up the bluff before dinner. She was awake around 5am having a VERY animated chat with her stuffed animals, but fell back asleep until I woke her at 7:45.
