Little House in the Big Woods

I forgot to mention that Stella and I have
started reading the Little House books. I hadn't planned on starting
them this soon, but I found the set (minus the first book, which I
picked up at the book store) at the Salvation Army for 25 cents a book.
Since I had it, I started reading it to her and she loved it. For about
15 minutes before bedtime, we curl up together and read. Sometimes,
during the day, she'll ask me to read more about Laura. She was excited
when she heard mention of Lake Pepin and Lake City, as we live near
there. We're nearly done with the first book already. In the mornings,
when I ask if she had good dreams and what they were about, she says "I
dreamed about Laura".

Really? Little house already?
| I am amazed at the things others are doing with their 3 year olds that I am not. But like I always tell myself, I am doing my own things and it might not be what they are working on. Are we talking the real books or the small kid versions? |

That is great that she is so interested in these books at such a young age. I'm sure she will always remember her snuggle time with Laura and mommy!
