I'm back
OK...this blog has been neglected for far too long. Time for an update, I think.
We've backed off on "school work" as the girl wasn't so into it anymore. She's 3 1/2 so I'm fine with that. She was enjoying it at first, and will again. We spend a lot of time reading, drawing, talking, playing. She's discovered the joys of washing dishes. YAY!
Lately, her daddy's been bringing home small samples of different woods. The other day she got to put shellac on one side of each piece and linseed oil on the other. She was thrilled! She's getting pretty good at knowing which piece is which wood, too. I think she's got 10-12 different ones right now.
In early March we'll be going to talk to the baby sign classes about our experience with it. That should be fun. We've been brushing up on her signs. She's very excited.
I've been knitting a lot this winter. This week I'm working on a Lucy Bag for me and an ear-flap hat for dh. I'm also finishing up some gloves for the girl.
