Well, we're going for it!  This upcoming week is Spring Break.  Wait, now we can officially call it EASTER break since Ben's not in public school any more!  Terrific!

After our break, Ben will begin his first week of homeschooling.  I'm very excited, and having a great time finding curriculum and planning out our school room, complete with many bookshelves, maps, and BOOKS.  I love books!  Perhaps too much!  I can see getting myself into serious trouble at the upcoming curriculum fair in June!  Oh well, you can never have too many, right?

I have chosen Heart of Dakota's "Bigger Hands for His Glory" as our curriculum.  It includes all the core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Reading, Writing, History, Science) and some extras, like Music and Art.  I love the layout and teaching methods, and I'm really looking forward to trying it out with Ben.  I'm sure I'll have more to say about that after I actually begin.

I plan to use this blog to share successes, frustrations, trials, and triumphs.  To let off some steam, and to celebrate the successes I'm sure we'll have this year.  So...join me.  Here we go!
