Mongolian Barbeque

Posted in Around the House

Tonight, my wife and I tried Mongolian Barbeque for the first time. It was...good. It probably would have been better if I hadn't tried nearly everything. Beef, pork, sausage, fish, shrimp, and calamari. Bleah!  What was I thinking? The ride afterward over rough road didn't help.

Grandma and Grandpa are watching the kids tonight. Grandpa heard our 2 year-old daughter saying "Fire! Fire!" and so he ran downstairs only to find her pointing at a spot on the floor. She was actually saying "Spider! Spider!"

Speaking of spiders, my 6 year-old son thought of stringing a fake spider in the doorway to scare his grandmother. He decided against it when he was counseled by his 9 year-old sister not to, "because it might make someone have a heart attack."

Apparently, our hearts are succeptible to fatal scares from fake spiders as one approaches 65.

I am cracking up out loud here! That is so funny about the FIRE-- I bet it was such a relief to all of you! hehehe... Probably the happiest anyone ever was to see a spider! :-)

I love Mongolian BBQ...mmmmmmm...that makes me REALLY hungry!

That is so cute! I can just hear your daughter, "Spire, Spire!"

Watch out Steve, it won't be long before they think that you may be suseptible to heart attacks!

Gosh, your 9yo sounds typical girl. I always thought the same way. Maybe my son should be happy he doesn't have any sisters. lol

after seeing what a brown recluse spider can do to a person, I'd have to say anyone over 30 is sucseptible to a heart attack.

Thursday, March 30, 2006 - Daughter's favorite game

Posted by SteveWalden

My 2 year old's favorite game is "get the spiders," where she says where the spiders are (face, legs, floor, or ceiling) and I get rid of them. It's a simple arrangement really, but one that totally works for her and me.
