From the birthstate of America, the Beautiful, have a terrific (and safe) Independence Day! Remember that freedom isn't free.
Be praying for our littlest one. Our 3 year-old daughter got stung by a bee this morning in the back 40. Thankfully my wife brought her in and I was able to scrape the stinger off without pushing more venom into the wound. She's icing it and we're using baking soda paste, children's ibuprofen, and a healthy dose of Tom & Jerry to help her through it. She seems to be okay with no allergic reaction like I seemed to have last time.
My four year old got stung by a bee yesterday too. She screamed while on a play structure and a friend got her down and pulled what we thought was a splinter out of her finger. She continued to cry a while and when I washed it she mentioned trying to get away from a bee. I asked if she was stung by a bee but she said no. Then when I talked with the dad that pulled the splinter out he said it wasn't like a splinter but a thorn and that is when we realized she had been stung. tylenol, ice and a few drops of the bee sting medicne helped and she was fine to play after about 1/2 hour. It was the first bee sting in our family so it was a bit weird. I have no idea what this medicine was, I had never seen it before but it was clearly for bee stings. Hope all is well.
