This goes beyond Jay Bennish and the acolytes of Noam Chomsky, a rich socialist living out of academia's ivory tower campus. This is a foundational shift away from the belief that America is a republican democracy helping spread freedom and choice to the world, a jewel in the crown of freedom -- not without its blemishes, but shining nonetheless -- and toward the belief that America is an imperialist aristocracy bent on crushing and exploiting the proletariat world-wide, a cancer in the world body with very little to offer. The outcome of such a shift is disasterous for the future of America and the freedoms we now enjoy.
Parents have to ask themselves if it's worth it to let their kids be raised by ideologues to be socialists, surrendering their freedoms to the autocrats promising order, results, and a Honda Element in every garage. Instead, parents need to be questioning their children's teachers and asking their children about the important stuff, like what they are studying in history, social studies, or science. But that's sure inconvenient. The previous generations only had to send their sons to die on some European soil or defend his home from a British brigade. While we are vigilant against terrorists and external threats to our security, we need to remember that Rome was never conquered; it collapsed under the weight of it's own delusions, debauchery, and its pursuit of pleasure. Get off your couch in front of the TV and go talk to your kids. Don't be like Esau and sell your birthright for a bowl of Survivor and CSI. Better yet, get them out of school altogether and teach them about the important stuff yourself. The sooner you start, the easier it will be and the better off your children will be.
Or you can just trust the "professionals."
