I remember Friday nights, getting off of work and going to have fun. I remember being single, too, but it's all sort of a distant memory now. Friday nights are home group nights or getting kids bathed and ready for bed. It's a night for taking sheets from the dryer and making beds and folding clothes.
Don't think for one moment I would trade bath time for buddy time, even when the three-year old daughter is protesting -- loudly -- at being made to bathe. I would not trade it for anything. My life is so much richer, so much less lonely, and so full of love. It's something I could have never fully understood, even being a son myself. I would never voluntarily give up what I have so richly gained by becoming a father.

To openly admit that is very sweet.

With our crazy schedule, Friday nights are just like a weeknight for us here. Saturday nights, on the other hand, are always bath and early to bed since we have church on Sunday. :-)
I'm with you, there is NOTHING better than being a mommy or daddy! Life is so different and much richer now...I am definitely living the dream!

I couldn't agree more. May your kind increase!
