I came down this morning to find my 10 year old daughter working on her history. She hasn't been required to start yet, but she wants to get into it.
This is what I love about homeschooling. It not only gives parents the freedom to educate their children how they choose, but parents can pass the freedom down to their children, allowing them to indulge their love for learning. My kids actually look forward to homeschool!
I hate to admit it, but we've actually had to restrict our older two from reading until they get certain things done, like school and chores. They don't read the Harry Potter stuff either. They cover everything from Beverly Cleary to biographies of famous Americans. What a difference it makes when your children enjoy school!
