Trusting For Simple Things

Posted in Connecting with God

My doctor has switched around my medications again. The new medicine helps my pain, but you have to wonder what else it does to you. I think it's making my internal clock even more erratic than usual. No appetite, constant yawning...ah, modern medicine I feel like my brain's on autopilot.

We are out of milk again. God has promised to supply all our needs, and he reassures me this will be taken care of as well. I know that he will. He's done it so many times in the past, and nothing is too hard for him.

I thank you, Father, that I have no need that you cannot meet. I am deeply grateful for the way you have upheld my family, especially over the past year. You have total control over my life and my family. We will trust in you.

Zoiks! Medicine makes me wonky so I couldn't imagine the effects of medicine that has to be switched around or dosages adjusted. Ugh!

Praying for ya, Steve.

You are absolutely right about God-- and as my boys say:
The Bible is always true and God always keeps His promises!

Good post... also, perhaps this isn't helpful at all, but you mentioned back pain in another post and I've found (after battling in this area for years) that a VERY good mix of calcium/magnesium did wonders for me. I have to take it all the time and if I miss for awhile the symptoms come back. Sorry if this isn't helpful but I thought if it even might help it was worth posting.

Thanks, Marsha, for your prayers. I don't like wonky either. Keep teaching your boys right. They get it better than most adults do.

Thanks also, Ruth, for the advice about the calcium/magnesium. I'd be interested to know what brand you're using. The mix I tried was not very helpful. I have seen some help with Schiff Move Free with MSM, which is a glucosamine & chondroitin supplement.

Monday, October 16, 2006 - Calcium/magnesium...

Posted by ihopeyoudance

Hi Steve... I take Nature's Way Calcium & Magnesium mineral complex/ 3 capsules twice daily. (You could check with a doctor about "therapeautic doses" I know they can prescribe more if that's what you need but I don't know how much more is ok.) I also take Udo's choice Oil Blend mixed in yogurt. The calcium/magnesium helps everything to move better. Whenever I've been out awhile everything stiffens back up. The Udo's choice oil is a mix of flax and other oils. It fights inflammation which is often the culprit with back trouble. Another thing that fights inflammation is any kind of "green" drink... barley grass, etc. It doesn't taste that terrific but if you can heal the inflammation that's going on in your joints you can often rid your body of the pain.

Here's a link to the Udo's choice website (I get mine at a local health food store but you can order online) http://www.udoerasmus.com/productmain.htm

Hope this helps!
