If you know of a veteran or a family in the service, they need your support as well as your gratitude. Offer to pray for them, cook a meal, drive their kids to practice, or buy them groceries. Military pay isn't all that much in most cases, and retirement benefits aren't very grandiose. Helping them in the little things is such an easy way to say thank you. It doesn't have to be a huge deal, just a simple, thankful notion. A well-placed "God bless you" is the bow on top of the present. Blessing them is something they don't expect, but something they truly need.
