Leighton Updates

Just in case I didn't make it clear enough, for the latest updates on Leighton, the 5 year-old who just underwent a heart transplant, go to http://familymanweb.com/yydakiin.htm. There are pictures on the site of Leighton after surgery. They just started ant-rejection drugs, which are very rough on a little boy because they have to suppress the body's natural defenses to keep his body from attacking the heart as a foreign object. Obviously, he's got a long way to go.

Please also pray for the donor's family, who were deprived of their own child and made the decision to give their child's organs to save the lives of others. Their willingness to give life in the face of their loss is heroic and noble.

On a related note, I've told my family that if the Lord decides to take me out of the game early, I want my organs given to the people who need them. What have you told your family? Talk about these things, because it will relieve some stress on your loved ones, keeping them from guessing what you would have wanted.
