I have been battling a head cold for the last week and I may actually be winning. I am a sight though. I am camped out in front of the computer with not one but two vaporizers. Even in this dry climate, I have succeeded in turning this place into a tropical rain forest. Explorers have been sighted recently. I'm not going to say it's humid in here, but a fish just swam by and it wasn't in my screensaver.

Why am I plugging away when I should be curled up in bed with a good book? Because I am under a deadline. Yep. When you are self-employed, you become your own boss and that can either be your salvation or your undoing. My boss is a ferocious taskmaster and tyrannical on good days. I can't be sick when he's watching me. On the other hand, I think he's cooking the books and stealing ink jet cartridges when no one is looking. Maybe I should report him to the director...oh, that's me too.

I should go now...one of the plants is eyeing me suspiciously and the kids are sinking in the quicksand. I wonder if condensation ruins a keybooorb
