I'd like to introduce you to Generation Cedar this week! Following is an interview with Kelly Crawford (pictured below) of Generation Cedar. We carry their products in our store and thought you would enjoy learning more about this company!
Give us a general overview of your company and the products you sell through the Schoolhouse Store.
Our mission is in our name: Generation Cedar. We are passionate about helping build a new generation that is deeply rooted in Christ, able to carry on their faith to generations to come. We believe this is best accomplished by building strong, godly families. Our goal is to produce resources that will help families as they seek to raise godly children in a culture hostile to Christianity. In the Schoolhouse Store, we currently offer E-Books on saving money, homeschooling and starting a home business, as well as a Scripture Song CD that is an excellent tool for Scripture memorization. We also sell homemade skin products.
Tell us an interesting fact or story about your company.
As a busy homeschooling family of 9, every product we've produced has been born out of a personal need/solution in our family. The Lord has taken our passions and enabled us to help with the family economy through what we love doing.
How can your products best benefit the homeschooling community?
All of our resources are naturally geared toward homeschooling in some way or another because we are avid homeschoolers ourselves, and our passions flow out of that! Whether it's an E-Book on how to relax while homeschooling or how to make homemade gifts to save money, we have something for every homeschooler.
Which of your products are you most excited about?
Hmmm . . . our Scripture CD was completely orchestrated by the Lord and I think it has been our most sought-after product. Then again, I've had SO many "thank-yous" for the E-Book "Think Outside the Classroom," because moms who were feeling stressed or burned out found it to be a source of instant relief!
What new items can we expect to see from your company in the next year?
We are so excited to be working, right this minute, on a new members-only website which will explain how moms can earn extra money by blogging from home. It is already full of how-to information and will be updated regularly. Anyone who needs to earn a little extra money or even build a strong second income will find this resource invaluable. We are hoping to launch "Home-Paid Blogger" by the end of June!
