  Allo all!

Well how have you all been? First thing I must say is that my mum’s friend has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s an early detection so she will probably be fine, but she will have to have surgery. So please include them in your prayers, they are really stressed at the moment.

Dad is growing moustache, as part of thing to raise money for cancer research, it looks... well... I don't mind it.

A couple of days ago it was my mum’s birthday. I gave her a bracelet. We had a party on the day it was fun! In 4 days it is my brother’s birthday he is having a party too, the theme is Instinct animals.

The warm soft days of spring have past early this year. November, has exchanged its gentleness for a scorching heat not fitting to its normal soft warmth. Even in the morning hours the heat starts to build. The wind, usually refreshing brings no comfort today as it blows hot air on my face. The pavement burns my feet. If this is spring—what will summer be like?

The house is cool, the blinds and curtains are shut, keeping out the heat. Under the big tree in our yard it’s cooler.  Leaves shade the ferns and other plants that prefer the cooler weather. The plants are all green thanks to all the October rains.

The gum tree sways in the wind, our rose, once without bloom is the queen of the garden, and its soft pink flowers climb the side fence.

My Party was really fun!!! Everyone came dressed up!! We had lots of fun!!

Hello All,

Sorry it has been a while since I last updated, here is a list of the things I did since I last updated.

1.      It was my birthday, I got a little teapot clock and a pink lamp with tassels I also got two dresses and two tops. It was a great day, we went out to an Indian Restaurant, and the food was great I love Indian.

2.     My brother and I went on a camp, it was so much fun!! There was loads of great games,

3.     We went to Brisbane for a home school conference with Diana Waring; it was great Diana Waring is so funny. We had to get up at 4:00 a clock in the morning!! To catch the plane.

4.    We started getting ready for my party which is TOMORROW!!! The theme is Spanish and South American, it going to be really FUN!!

The weather has been so weird lately, one day it’s really warm the next day it’s raining.

Ok now for the real entry.

Yesterday morning I woke up, everyone was shouting and taking pictures, I wondered what the commotion was all about. I got up and headed into the kitchen, out the window everything was orange the sky, the road everything!! The wind was howling, I went outside the air smelled earthy, we heard on the radio that it was dust it had all blown in from SA. We had to take my brother to school, so we had to drive through the dust storm you couldn't see very far and all the street lights and traffic lights were blue. We had to go shopping so we went to and indoor shopping center, we came out the just storm had mostly gone but everything was covered in DUST!!

Hello,
Yesterday I made some brownies, they were really nice and the recipe was simple.

Brownies
125g butter
¼ cup cocoa
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder

Melt the butter in a medium sized saucepan. Remove from heat when liquid. Add the cocoa, sugar, eggs, salt and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Sift on flour and baking powder. Stir till all ingredients are combined.  Pour mixture into a greased 20-23 (8-9 inch) square tin. Bake at 160ºC (350ºF) for 30 mins until the brownies are firm in the center.
