Now I want to share my view on autism. Since I have two brothers with autism I notice basic struggles and misunderstandings between me and my brothers. I want to talk about me, my older brother Big Guy, and my younger brother Little Guy.
Big Guy's everyday habits are:
.Walking around making stimmy motions with his hands.
.Always he does this holding a toy.
.Watching Videos.
.Sitting down looking at a book.
.Rocking on the sofa listining to music.
It is very hard for me to understand his behavior. For example, sometimes when I chase him away from doing something bad, he will laugh. Mommy says that his laughter might mean something else.
Now Little Guy:
.Running around looking at the ceiling.
.Walking around with a shoe or a toy with strings.
.Looking at books.
.Watching Videos.
.Toys that move or make noise.
Little Guy often gets on my nerves by making a mess while we are cleaning up or wreaking up my toys.
Even so, Big Guy often comes over to me with a big smile on his face and tries to lay on me. Little Guy often tries to cuddle or play. I wish I could see things from their point of view and not mine.
Despite our differences, I hope that my brothers will have a bright, sunny, future. |
