Gardening, Mosquitos,Goats and a lot of other things going on here at The Daily Planet

This Article was published in Daily bloggings of a 16 year old Girl on her way to becoming a Woman of God

WOW!!!! I didn't know how hard it would be to get this garden going! We have been working on it all week. Well 'cept for yesterday: Town day.

We have planted Tomatoes, Corn, Bush Beans, Zucchini, Bush Acorn Squash, Butternut Squash, Peppers, and more that I can't think of right now.

I don't even know how many of each we planted........a lot though......for a lot of hungry people. Hopefully we will be done with it soon. I mean planting.

With doing that and having my dad on vacation we aren't really blogging or being on the puter this week. But I was let on Blogging leave today, because I was out all day in the garden on ?Monday? I think. Wait......yeah it was then, because me and my dad went to Fort Wayne on Sunday to get some garden tools.

The mosquitoes were HORRIBLE this year! You walked outside and you get swarmed. I keep praying that it will snow for 1 day and kill them all. Last year we didn't have this problem because it was 80degrees then it snowed for 1-2 days. And it had killed all of them. So if it snows or at least frosts then that should kill them. OH PLEASE FREEZE OR SNOW!!!!

I think that is all for now folks! I have added more since I was going to post it.

(added) Mosquitoes finally got the clue: we don't want them here. We have not had hardly any of them this week. THANK GOD! Or we would not have gotten the garden planted. That was how bad they were. With the chilly (32degree) evenings that we have been having they have died down some. We also got a "Mosquito Deleto" That has helped some too.

Great story about it. We went on Sunday to get the tools and we looked at it. It was marked down from $330 to $179. So Dad went to his boss and asked him how much lower he could go. And we got it for $100. Is that a GODSEND or what? He was so thankful that we got it.

Chloe and Heidi really luv me. Whenever I walk away from them, they bleat(sp?) at me. Who would have thought that taking care of goats would be so easy? Not us!

I just got my 16th bday pics developed from last year and I look HORRIBLE! When I put them in my album I am doing a page that says "AWWW.......Run for the Hills....ScaryAngel is here". Oh.... they aren't pretty!

Another thing that is going on is: I am getting my wisdom teeth in and they really hurt. So we are going to get them lanced the rest of the way and taken out. Hopefully. I don't want to wait til I have problems with them to have to get them out. My MOM has had a lot of problems with hers.

I am soo excited I have found some of my fav perfume. It is the Bath & Body Works Fantasia de Cioccolatte (sp?). I thought that it had been discontinued so I was looking on eBay for it and couldn’t find a good price. So we went to Bath & Body Works because we had a coupon for Mother’s Day, and they had it! I was soo excited. I paid full price for it anyway, but I was happy.

My other fav is Haiku by Avon. My grandma wears it, so it makes me think of her. She lives in New Mexico and we only get to see her once or twice a year. Sniff sniff. =0(

Has anyone ever noticed how retarded the Washer and Dryer commercials are? Who in their right mind would actually only wash 10 towels or 10 pairs of jeans? If you have a large family there is NO WAY that you can only wash that much in each load. You would be doing laundry for the rest of your life, and NOTHING else. Apparently the people who make them don’t know how to wash clothes. It cracks me up to watch these commercials. Man, I wish people would get a CLUE!

I have been having these weird dreams that someone sabotages my NEW SUPERMAN shirt. The first one my dad put it on the grill to dry it! And last nite Myrtle got nail polish on it! What is that about? Crazy! Hope it doesn't happen though!

They have a WHOLE bunch of SUPERMAN shirts at WAL MART that I want!

Funny story! Myrtle was changing in our room and she stepped on a bottle of lotion and it squirted lotion ALL over my bed and across the room. There was lotion everywhere. I didn't think it was funny at the time, but it is humorous now!

Isaac & I were in the laundry room and he had just fallen down outside, so he was kinda cranky. I found a dime in the washer and I said, " Hey Isaac, look what I found" so I started to hand it to him & he said, "I don’t care. My leg hurts cause I fell." It was sooo cute. He luvs to clean out the lint of the dryer.

I made one of my skirts last nite. Not totally finished with it, just needs a zipper, but it is too cute. I will take a pic of it and show. I have 2 more to make. Myrtle and I will have matching skirts.

So how is your week going? Been busy......wait...... that was a dumb question........of course you are busy. HAH!

Well I should probably go back out and finish. Read about my HORRIBLE NEWS here: No more for me til July!

Thanks for stopping by "Daily" at the "Planet"!

Sounds like you have a great garden. My grandparents used to have a huge garden with flowers, veggies, fruit trees, and long rows of berries, and we would help them with it in the spring and summer. But then they moved. *sniff sniff* Hope surviving without chocolate won’t be too hard for you. :-)

Is this your first real big garden? This year we don't have much of a garden. )0= We usually have a real nice big one, not this year. Yeah the mosquitos are real bad this year. My guys are being bit bad. Cysco on my friends bar has a natural bug repellent recipe , might be good to try. I can't wait to see your pic's on yours and Myrtle's skirts. Hope all is well.

Commented by Canadagirl

The reason we don't have a big garden this year is because all of our mental and physical energy is going into building our house. I am not complaining. I just miss the eating and enjoying of the produce. Not to mention the savings. Our cupboards and freezers are getting bare and that is when I feel the longing for the garden produce. I will have to post some pic's in rememberance of our garden. (0;

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
