Married without Children?!?!?!?!

This Article was published in Waiting for My Knight... My Hopes

As I was making a wonderful dinner of lightly barbecued seasoned chicken, brown rice, carrots, and fresh garden green beans a couple weeks ago by MYSELF, I thought, “Is this what it will be like when I am married?”
For our family we have to make like 5 or 6 chicken breasts, 3- 3 1/2cups of rice, 12-15 carrots and a whole lot of green beans, (mostly for me!!).

I was in the kitchen alone and I couldn’t help but feel lonely. Everyone, but Jocelyn who was on the pc, was upstairs and it was very quiet, which is very unusual for our house.

I thought about when I get married and don’t have kids yet, I will be making dinner alone and I won’t have a lot to make or a lot of dishes to wash. It will be very weird. I thought that it was weird tonite, I can’t imagine what it will be like when I have my own house.
Yes, sometimes I want to lock up all the little kids so that I can think, but what will I do when I won’t have them running around?
I wonder what my days will be filled with when I am married without kids. I won’t have school, I won’t have to clean all the time, and I won’t have to worry about stuff like that.

So I have a question:

If you are married and you didn’t have kids right after you were married and you didn’t have a job, what did you do? Or if you are married and you don't have kids yet, don't have a job, what do you do?

My mom said that she had a job, so I'm afraid she can't give you any advise. When she was married without any children, my dad was at the office half of the day so she was a nurse, and she couldn't cook worth a dewflotchy (but she sure can now:-). Thanks for stopping by, stop by again soon.

Well lets see, that was only 6 years ago....The first 6 months, we lived in a 27' camper trailer.....that was aweful, but after that we moved into a double wide and it needed a lot of work, so while DH was at work, I painted, wallpapered, cleaned, organized. Some days I'd go shopping, some days I spent with my sister in law, somedays I spent with my Mom. Once in a while I spend the day with a friend, sewing or scrapbooking. You'll get a lot of scrapbooking done! My advice is work on it hard before you have kids, because it's hard to keep up after if you're already way behind! Or it is for me anyway! I have an Aunt that doesn't have kids and she goes to nursing homes a lot and visits old people and shut ins.

Thank you for the comment! If I get married someday, then before having children, I would want to do a lot of things. Keep the house clean and decorated, quilt, sew, knit, continue doing freelance writing, all that fun stuff!

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
