A Mother of All Trades

This Article was published in Daily bloggings of a 16 year old Girl on her way to becoming a Woman of God

As I was doing my hair and makeup yesterday, I got to thinking when I first was allowed to wear makeup and how my MOM showed me how to put it on. And also when MOM puts her makeup on, I usually hand it to her as we are in van. She always says I am like a nurse handing the surgeon his tools at an operation.

Some of the things she told me about applying make up was:
When applying it around your eyes you use your ring finger and go in towards your nose on the bottom of your eye and out towards your temple on the top.  So that you make a complete clockwise circle around your eyes. Do not push hard when you do this. This process helps with reducing the bags around your eyes when you are older!! The reason you use your ring finger is it is the weakest of your fingers, so there is no pressure breaking the muscles under your eyes.
And I have recently learned that when applying powder you should use a sponge and not brushes. The sponge blends the foundation with the powder evenly leaving it looking smooth and natural. When I was using the brushes I was told that I looked very powdery by many members of my family.  Now I have not had any remarks about my makeup so that is nice.

So with all the help from my MOM I have come to the conclusion that I am a lucky girl. I have a Mother of All Trades.
My Mother  has been the following throughout her life:
Daughter
Wife
Mary Kay Consultant

Creative Memories Consultant

Shaklee Health Distibutor
Ministries Leader (Womens, Childrens, Worship, Moms, and more that I can’t think of right now!)
Homeschool Book Seller
Singer
Chauffeur
Garden Tender
Home Birth Expert
Childrearing Expert
Homeschool Expert
Accountant
Cook and Hostess or waitress @ KFC & Golden Corral, and - ew... Burger King!
Chocolate Luver

And the best and most important of all: A Loving Mother of All Trades!!
She uses those things she learned in every day life as a

Mother of All Trades.
She taught me about makeup, she taught me how to cook, she taught me alot of health and nutrition, she knows about what homeschooling resources to use, she provides for our family by planting and tending a HUGE garden!! And to LUV chocolate!!
Everyday she tries to be more like the Proverbs 31 Woman and most of the time she exceeds in this.
She does everything in her power to protect us from harm, both physical and spiritual, helps me to become the Proverbs 31 Woman that my family will need. She makes sure we have everything we need.
Yes, she does have her HORRIBLE days, but she comes out stronger and more equipped for the next time she has a HORRIBLE day!!
I know we have our rough times, but I am thankful that she is my

That's great you love your mom so much! You don't like Burger King!! Shocking!
I love my mother a ton too!
Sometimes it's hard being a Proverbs 31 woman, isn't it? That's what i'm striving to be though, someone that my husband and children and most importantly, God, can be proud of.
Have a great chocolatey day!

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
