Today, you have my Heart

This Article was published in Reflections of a 17 year old girl on her way to becoming a Woman of God

First off I have to send a BIG HUGE THANK YOU out to ALL of the wonderful friends that came to wish me a Happy Birthday!! That is the MOST comments I have ever gotten on a post!! I will be returning the comments shortly, I hope!!

Woke up this morning not feeling well. I woke up last nite and could not move my neck. I felt like it was broken. So I took my chin and pushed it to both sides and tried to crack it. I can’t remember if I did or not.
Then I sat with MOM while she worked on the grocery list and menu plan.

Today was town day and I usually go with MOM to the stores. But today ALATARIEL went in my stead. I stayed home with Hannah. After we washed about 50 dishes in 7:15 minutes, we were both hungry due to the fact that we hadn’t eaten at all today.
We  had a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Dinner Lunch!! We had Popcorn, Pretezels, and I had a Dr. Pepper. Yummo!! LOL!! So while we were eating that and I was working on the pc, I listened to “Making Wise Decisions about College and Life after Home School” by Doug Phillips.

Then I realized what time it was and got up and went to the kitchen and picked up the rest of the stuff that was all over. Then cleaned up the dining room and vacuumed both floors. While I cleaning I listened to part of the “How to Evaluate a Suitor: Biblical Wisdom for Fathers, Mothers, Eligible Daughters and Would-Be Grooms” by Doug Phillips. Didn’t get through all of it as MOM and everyone came back and we had to get food put away and such.
Then we checked email, I started to work on this post, and then had to go make dinner. So I went and “de-meated” the whole chicken that was in the crock pot. Mixed it with some noodles, and peas and carrots, stuck it in the oven. Then I made some biscuits to go with it, b/c we were going to make a dumpling top for the other thing, but that would have taken too long. I doubled the first batch in flour only, nothing else, then made the second batch too watery, so I had to fix that. But everyone like the first batch better, so I think I will stick with that one!!

Some things this week that are happening are:
    SMALLVILLE is on tomorrow!!
We have to get the house to be like NEW b/c we are having an appraiser come to appraise the house for a loan.
I am going to my friend’s house this weekend to make some things for CHRISTmas presents.
We just got ALATARIEL’s goats back tonite.
I got our grammar books today and will be starting on them tomorrow. I also got my second algebra book, well borrowed from Danielle, and will be starting on that in a couple weeks. I will also be taking up geometry with algebra 2. So we will see what a challenge that is and if I can accomplish it.

We have been doing some reevaluations of our lives and priorities, as you can see since I have not blogged in about 2 weeks.
In that time period I have come to the realization that I am selfish and immature. Or at least that is how I feel. Since my birthday it doesn’t feel any different than before. I don’t feel like I am who I am supposed to be.I have been praying about it.
Like you all know Tigerlily’s 13th birthday was on Sunday, and me being my selfish self am having a hard time getting her a nice gift. I am trying to save up my money for a laptop and don’t want to spend ANY money. And here is Tigerlily went and bought me a $20 Fleece blanket for my birthday and I couldn’t even get her a gift. But I have decided what I am getting her and will be getting it.
But I really NEED to work on that. I hope I can be a unselfish person, b/c I feel like a bad person.
I feel like such a horrible person.

I am praying that I change soon, b/c I don’t like the way I feel.

This post was from my heart!!

Thanks for sharing your heart *hug* :)

I'm sorry that you're feeling down. It is so depressing being sinful sometimes (lol). But it's funny b/c I was feeling almost the EXACT same way last night...

During my prayer time, I was able to realize how weak I really am. I try my hardest to be the holy woman (or almost woman!) that God created me to be...but I fall short OVER and OVER again... It helped me understand that I need to depend totally and completely on God's strength, because there's no way that I'm going to become holy by my own strength. Here's some verses for ya:

Mat 5:6 ~ Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled

Gal 6:9 ~ And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap; if we faint not.

2 Cor 12:9 ~ And he said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

So, there's my heart. Along with the longest comment I've ever written! :)

I'll be praying for you!

~Sylvia~

PS Okay, this is the last thing...I promise!!! I just wanted to say you're doing such a great job helping out with your family, I mean...the way you spend time with your sibs and help do chores (like making dinner)...I know your mom is SSSOOOOOOOO proud of you and thankful for you!!!!!

I know how you feel. But in this time of change, remember that you can never go to low for God. He still loves you, and so do I!!!

I enjoyed reading your blog today. I'd like to remind you that we will never be perfect here on earth and we ALL have struggles and this is what the Lord can use to help you grow! I also thought of sharing 2 Corinthians 12:9, but I see another friend has already posted it so I'm going to leave you with Matthew 22:37-38.

I can see you are busy at home, and you are not selfish, you have spent your time today caring for your siblings, cleaning and cooking for your family.

Let us know how your Christmas gifts turned out!

Hello to a very sweet and thoughtful SSiC. We all have our times of selfishness and we need to just admit it to the Lord and TRY TRY AGAIN. (0: Keep on keeping on and you will grow. I hope you come and see the pic's of our trip when you get some time.
In Him,

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
