Joseph’s Biography

(Taken from the TruthQuest Inductive Student Bible)

It’s easy to be Pharaoh when you have someone like Joseph around to take care of things. He is an amazing administrator---that’s why I have him running Egypt for me---but how he came to me is an incredible story. I can hardly believe it myself.
One night I had two strange and terrible dreams; nightmares you might call them. I was convinced they had to mean something, but none of my court magicians could give me any clues. Then one of my servants described a man he had met in prison who could interpret dreams; I sent for him immediately. He was a Hebrew slave who was in jail for over two years on what I found out later was a false accusation of rape. When I told him I had heard he could interpret dreams, he surprised me. “It is beyond my power to do this,” he said, “but God will tell you what is means and will set you at ease.” True to his word, he did explain my dreams. He told me that Egypt should have seven great harvests followed by seven years of famine and that I should choose a wise man to store up food against the coming hard times.
Since I couldn’t think of anyone wiser than him, I appointed this man, Joseph, to be my second in command. He prepared Egypt for the famine and brought us through it with flying colors. During that time he was even reunited with his long-lost family from Canaan! I was so happy with him that I gave his family some land in the north of Egypt, called Goshen.
What a gift Joseph has been to me!

Sincerely
    -Pharaoh

Hey there.
Great post and sorry you were the 20th commenter again, not that you were the 20th comment or anything. ;-) I knew all that about Joeseph but I had a nice time reading through it. I hope you get at least 20 comments!

Thanks for your comments, but no need to thank me, I hope you will stop by soon!
