Somebody is 16!!

This Article was published in Birthdays, Anniversaries, Births, etc

OK… You all know what today is… Yep!! Jocelyn’s 16th birthday!! Oh man, I can’t believe she is 16!! I feel old. But then I wonder how Mom feels having ANOTHER 16 year old.
So in honor of her birthday, I am dedicating my blog to her for the next 10min!! Here are some wonderful things about her:

She is a Godly young woman who lives Biblically for Him. She tries everyday to do what is holy and succeeds most of the time, anyway.
She is so mature. Much more mature than I was at her age. “That is a rare gift”!!     She shows her maturity in daily situations.
She encourages others to be the Godly young men and women they need to be.
She knows all about Lord of the Rings. Ask her anything and she will be able to give you an answer (snap) like that.
She has a passion for truth in all things. She has a passion for finding truth in everything. Books, life, everything.
She loves all people. She tries to be friends to all. She is soo likeable that you just can’t help liking her and WANT to be her friends!!
She is funny. She can usually lighten up a room with her smile and her attitude.
She is very modest!! Moreso than I am. Inward and outward.
She is very classical and would rather live in the Renaissance or Regency era than now.
She is someone who would go and do something, rather than ask someone else to go and do it for her. She is not lazy. She is a hard worker.
She is little Suzy homemaker!! She would rather stay home and clean, than go to town for grocery or something she might need. We have this joke going on that she will clean my house and I will do her grocery shopping and errands!!
She is AMAZING!! She is AWESOME, COOL, SWEET, and much more.
There are many other things I could tell you about her, but if you know her, then you know that she is the BEST!!
So go over to her blog and tell her happy bday.

HAPPY 16th Birthday, Joc!!
I LOVE you!!
I can’t wait to see what kind of woman and mother you will be. But I know you will be GREAT!!

Dad, Jocelyn, Rachel, Hannah and I all went to Jo-Ann Fabrics tonite. She got material for a Regency dress she is going to be making. It will look really good on her too.
I found some material for SWEETNESS. Guess what it has on it?? RASPBERRIES!! It is a pastel green background with raspberries. The raspberries have a sort of lilac tint to them. So I got some of that material and then some lilac material. I am going to make a baby blanket with it. It will look soo CUTE!!
Then we HAD to get Jocelyn a Dr. Pepper. We brought home Taco Bell to eat for dinner... YUM!!
So that is Jocelyn's bday. She will be having a ice cream cake tomorrow, and hopefully her gift will come that I ordered off eBay.
Love...

We only have one library card, so when it's blocked, we don't check out until it's unblocked! That means if I return my stuff but the girls don't, then the card is still blocked! what setup do you have with your cards?

You missed the point Amanda, I was bribing your dad with 4k to name the pixie Lucy. Lol!

Raspberries! Oh she will look adorable, then!

What a nice tribute to your sister. I have to admit I see all the same qualities in her that you do.

Please don't ever say "Taco Bell" again. Please. Never. Ever.

Love,

-Mrs.S (who is on her way to FL very soon here)

There's nothing super wrong with Rasberry Pixie Muffin, it just doesn't sound like a people name. :)

You deserve that award. :)

That's neat that you could think of so many neat things to say about Joci. :)

God bless,
Alycia

I’m glad you all liked the card! I thought it was funny too. :-)

To be fair, we didn’t start most of our plants out as seeds. We got them at the nursery. So with that, the nice weather, and getting everything planted in March, I guess we got somewhat of a head start.

It’s great to see you honor your sister like that in your post. I think that kind of sibling love is rare in the world today!

Love,
Mandy

I really like this picture! Were's it from? I'm guessing it's Lois and Clark, but pray tell who exactly it is. I'm going to make some graphics with it and post them at Cauldron Pool. Come and see when I do!

Have a great rest of the mortereve!

Hi Amanda-
What wonderful things to say about your sister!
I have a couple of things~
First, I think Lucy is a lovely name for Sweetness, it's very girly!
Second, my brother want to know who your favourite Smallville characters are. He is putting together a package for you of some stuff from the show, like scripts and set diagrams and that kind of thing. Stuff not everyone can get. YAY!
I hope you're having a good weekend~
Kathleen

Sorry I haven't been by in a while. I hope you are doing well. I see the baby has a name now... even though you don't like it! That happened to me when we adopted my youngest sister. I really wanted to call her Lesly, but my parents decided on Daniella. And then they didn't spell it the way I wanted to either! I wanted to spell it with one L - thought it was prettier. :-) Oh well. She's their child not mine! Hopefully I'll have my own to name someday. :-)
This post was a sweet one for your sister. Aren't sisters the best? I'll go over and wish Jocelyn a late happy birthday. And about feeling old -- tell me about it!! My "little" sis is graduating in a week and a half. Boy do I feel old!! :-)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Have a great week.
~Ashley

I still have not started LucyLillie's afghan... my order from JoAnn's still has not been delivered. I am anxious to start it and am thinking of doing a different design so I can get started without the raspberry pink yarn!

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
