The Thinking Blogger Award?? I don't think so...

This Article was published in Awards, Contests, and Tags

I was so honored and surprised to find out that I had been given the "Thinking Blogger Award". It was so sweet of Mrs. Y to give it to me. I am so happy that I can have that impact on someone let alone an adult. She linked one of her fav post from my blog. I know it has been FOREVER since I was given it, but it is with good reason I have not done it.

I was looking over the Thinking Blogger blog, and have decided that I don't want to be a part of their awards. They are secular and very humanist.

So my Smarty Skirt (instead of smarty pants) sister has come up with a new award. And as the saying goes, “Great minds think alike”, another Smarty has done the same sort of thing. So I am going to do these two as Thinking Blogger Award that I was awarded.

There are the banners, go to Jocelyn's blog for the codes. Now here are my nominations:

  1. Auntie (GenaSuarez) always has the latest homeschooling news. She keeps us all up to date on current things in the news. But I like best when she posts about her family. Their magazine has truly touched my life as much as knowing them has. They know what they believe and live it. They are a role model to us all to train our children in a Godly way and “Keep Them Home Where They Belong”.

  2. Jenna is new to blogging, but shares her daily life in a foster family. She loves her family and is great with the foster children that comes through. She is a really great friend and I hope to meet her someday!! Plus, I REALLY like the name Sparkles.

  3. Mrs.Drew has just shares her daily life, and that in itself is a help to all. She knows what she wants her children to learn, she teaches it, and the children learn it and have fun while they are doing. She is a great encouragement.

  4. Mrs. Brown shares about her great family and the lessons she has learned being a mom. She is on her way to being a Proverbs 31 mom and loves homeschooling her children. I just love going there and reading about their family.

  5. Eric is just Magnificent. He blogs the truth and everyone can glean something from his writing. He knows what he believes and does it. He is not someone to say something and do something else. You can count on him to be firm. He is a great encourager and loves sharing and giving his time for his friends. I am honored to call him my friend Even though he wants to live in Ireland?!?!

  6. Mrs. L is truly a Titus2Woman. I love her to death. She is the sweetest thing. I am happy to know her and love her encouraging words and funny family things that she shares.

  7. Mrs. B is trying to complete her work on earth as a Proverbs 31 woman. She knows what she needs to do to better herself and tries to accomplish it. She has some great posts about getting to completion on the road of life.

  8. Rebekah is truly The Lord's Daughter. She strives to be what God wants and is on her way to being a great Proverbs 31 woman. She knows what God expects of her and does it. She encourages me to be better in my walk.

  9. Bioluminescence- She is a Godly woman and am thankful that Mom found her. I glean so much about being a Keeper at Home, and hope to learn more from her.

And last but definitely not least, I am awarding Mrs. Y. even though she awarded me in the first place!! I couldn’t help myself.

  10. Mrs. Y is a great homekeeper. She loves to sew and make things. She has a challenging task ahead of her, with her daughter Macy, but knows God is the one leading her family and trusts in Him to take care of them. She has a lot of miscellaneous posts about things she has learned or things she wants to know more about. Not too mention she loves SMALLVILLE!!

BLOGGING WITH A PURPOSE AWARD

< a href="http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/blogboy"><" img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/uploads/b/BlogBoy/13663.jpg">

I was awarded by Eric, Rebekah, and Alycia. I know that Eric (maker of this award) didn’t give instructions for it, so I just did a little about each blogger. Here are my nominations:

  1. Paulie the Awesome is just plumb fun!! He is just so interesting to be around and talk to. He can speak "geek" extremely well, and is always eager share his knowledge about "geeky" things. He is always there to help someone... even if its just to hold the door. He is a great role model and someone I want my sons to be like. He is firm in his faith and loves to debate it. He has a solid belief and will hold to it. I am lucky to have gotten to know him personally.

  2. Ashley is a great big sister and oldest daughter. She loves sharing about her family and is so sweet. Someone I am glad to call my friend.

  3. Briana loves dancing and loves God. She loves her family and loves taking pictures of them. Newly graduated from high school she is ready for the road ahead that God brings to her.

  4. Heather being the oldest in a big family is not easy alot of the time, but Heather sure does a great job of being the oldest. She is a great encouragement to be the sister to your siblings you should and is a great help to her family.

  5. Brooke loves God and loves to share it. She grows in Godliness daily. She is a great friend. She has encouraging words about growing godly daily and shares her knowledge with all.

I hope you all get to know these bloggers. They are truly inspiring and I love them!!

Love...

Oooh, I needed to catch up on LOTS of your posts. :)
Congrats on passing your driver's test! I'm getting my permit tomorrow, I think. I'm really nervous. I hope it's not too hard, most people say it isn't, but I don't know much about driving! I'm not very confidant about it. Please pray for me!
Love the pics. Your family is sooo beautiful!

Amanda,

Your praise of me is so sweet! It really touched me. Thank you so much for giving me the award.

I am so glad that you all have a digital camera! That was so kind! I love the pictures you posted. And you are right... the bottom one is the best! Lucy is so cute!

I am still praying for you. Especially about your situation with the horses.

Love,
Rebekah ~ The Lord's Daughter

P.S. Here is a verse that I love for "You are my sunshine"

A little sunshine
God's love is sunshine.
It makes us happy
Most every day.
Always remember
How much He loves you
And you can give His sunshine away.

I heard those words on VeggieTales. I have sometimes sang it to myself when I was down and it never fails to bring a smile to my face. Just to think how much God loves us!

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
