Dulcy thought I wasn’t doing enough school, so she thought she would help me with my science.
Do you know what happens when you put alfalfa in water?? It makes chlorophyll. Straight chlorophyll is extremely gross. It smells like blood. I went down last week and noticed this bloody smell. I didn’t know what it was. Then I went to give Dulcy water and noticed what it was. She had put her alfalfa in her water, thus the bloody smell.
See chlorophyll is plant blood. It is the green pigment in plants that harness the sun’s energy in photosynthesis. Chlorophyll in plants performs metabolic functions such as respiration and growth. Interestingly, the chlorophyll molecule is chemically similar to human blood, except that its central atom is magnesium, whereas that of the human blood is iron.
So see why it smelled like blood?? The even funnier part of this is when the Suarez’s were here last time, Auntie and I were talking about chlorophyll and how it was like blood. We drink chlorophyll, mint flavored, so it tastes ok. But Auntie has had straight chlorophyll that tastes like blood. She did not like it.
So it was funny that Dulcy put the alfalfa in her water and it turned to chlorophyll and conducted a science experiment.
A little info on Chlorophyll:
Chlorophyll is very good for you. It is a digestive tract detoxifier, supports intestinal health, supports circulatory health, and many others. Mom actually was really sick from being outside in the sun, and she drank some and felt loads better.
We took chlorophyll when we were sick and it did help. It is especially good for pregnant women!!
So I have done my science for the week now. Thanks to my horse!! LOL!!
I thought it was really funny.
As Always...

Thanks for stopping by "Daily" at the "Planet"!!
