"It's alright. I am back. I'm alright" "Weren't you wondering where I was??" -Lucy Pevensie. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Ok... I am back... I thought I would give you all a break from my deep thoughtful posts and give you something to laugh at. Well I actually hope you wince from my pain. LOL!!
I was tagged by Auntie Christina to write 8 things about me, but I have done sooo many of those, ya'll probably know anything I could think of. So I decided to specify this tag. 8 Ways I Have Hurt Myself this week... But before I do my hurts, I have to tell you what happened on Friday nite. I think Cal-Eb topped me completely!! We had to go to the emergency room for him.
He was in the office and apparently was on a chair and leaned over to get something and fell off the chair. He hit the table right smack on his forehead. He broke a blood vessel, so we were worried. I really surprised myself, cause I am usually the one who breaks out in hysterics when one of the littles gets hurt, but even with the blood gushing out, I was calm and collected. I had to be because everyone else was bawling.
Anyway, we went to the hospital, Caleb got checked out, I waited with the other kids out in the lobby. We were there for about an hour. They ran a CATscan, and it was ok. I heard him screaming when they ran him through it. They butterflied it, and he was sent home. He was asleep before we left the hospital. I think the whole story is on Mom's blog.
But he is now himself. He is doing well. I THANK God for protecting him. I don't know what I would do if something terrible happened to him. I *HATE* it when Isaac or Caleb do something to their heads. Once Isaac fell off the stairs, and his eyes kept rolling to the back of his head, and I FREAKED!! It scared me to death. It was horrible.
I thank God that my siblings are in His hands because that is the SAFEST place for them to be. Only He can protect them and watch them. THANK YOU GOD for keeping my family safe.
OK... even trauma for one week... I didn't have anything traumatic happen to me just little things that hurt big. Here is 8 Ways I Hurt Myself Last Week.
1. I was going through my closet and grabbed a box off a shelf and unknown to me, a book was on top of it. So when I pulled the box the book came flying at me. Hit me straight on my nose and the corner of my eye. OUCH!! It hurt soo bad. I was bawling. I seriously thought I hurt myself severly. My poor nose hurts and now I have been having headaches. It feels congested and sore. There is a bruise too!!
2. Joc and I were messing around and I had been holding her by her shoulders and then I let go and when I did we were pretending to hit each other and she went to thrust her elbow at me and was closer than she thought. She punched me in the mouth. OUCH!! I bit my tongue and had blood all over my mouth. Then my jaw locked and really hurt bad. So I now have a hole on the side of my tongue and my jaw has been hurting. Oh, the pain.
3. My toes have been doing their job really well lately. Finding things. Yep, my toes have been stepped on, had things dropped on them, stubbed, and everything else that you can think of. My poor piggies.
4. I had been out in the garden pulling weeds alot and my hands had sores from yanking them outta the garden. I even still had dirt stuck on my hands. And I had done dishes, taken a shower, and SCRUBBED my hands. But the dirt was still there and my hands were still sore.
5. I poked myself in the eye. Couldn't see for a few min. after that. Didn't feel too good.
6. Hit my shins with the shovel. I was shoveling the horse manure and everytime I would put the shovel down to scoop, I would hit my shins. Now I have some bruises.
7. I was pulling stitches out of my skirt and poked my fingers and thumb with the seam ripper. I still have a little hole in my finger.
8. I hit my shoulder on the screen door. We have a push handle, so by habit I go to push the door open and use my whole body. Well I pushed on the handle and it stuck, so I ended up pushing against a closed door. I think I have done that a couple times this week, actually. It did hurt my shoulder for a few.
Ok... there you have it. How I hurt myself 8x this week. I hope you all had a really good laugh, cause I sure didn't. LOL!! Anyway... hope ya'll are nice and healthy and safe. ;0)
P.S. Be sure you get your "A Tribute To My Dad" submissions in. We have extended the deadline to August 15th. Come on... I want to see some young adults show some love for their dads!!
P.P.S. If you haven't heard, there is 1 HOUR left for you to enter the Horizon Organics Contest at 5 Minutes for Mom. You could win $300 worth of gift certificates for Horizon Organics Dairy products! The contest ends August 2nd at 12 a.m.

Yes, I got that is was Tux.
Oh my, I cringed reading about Caleb. I know that all too well. That must have been so scary. I'm glad everything turned out fine in the end.
I'm sorry, I couldn't help but laugh reading about how you hurt yourself in the last week. It must have been really annoying when you kept hurting yourself, but it's pretty comical reading it. So much like my sister...always tripping or bumping into things, knocking things down. Some of my biggest peeves are banging my head on open cabinet doors, and hitting my funny bone. Guess it just reminds us that life doesn't go the way we want it to. =P

Thank you so very much for your many comments. They have helped me so, so much. You are an absolutely amazing person. I'm sorry it took me so long to answer your comments. We should have a knife throwing contest someday, it would be so much fun. In answer to your question, from the knife throwing comment, my brother is 15. Again thank you so very much for being such a sweet and caring person. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Please come and read my latest post and let me know what you think! I would really appreciate it!

Hello Amanda,
Thank you for your comment….it’s always fun to hear from you.
Your post was very nice…I liked how you changed the tag…it made for very interesting reading.
I so enjoyed getting to meet you…I wish we lived closer…perhaps if we did live closer we could get together and just hang out. Thank you for saying I was pretty….I don’t often picture myself as that, but thank you very much. I thought you looked very nice….that was a cute denim skirt you had on by the way…I used to have a straight one like that, but I wore it out…bummer. anyway talk to you later...by the way the SuperAvatar is cute. :)
Oh, I am so glad little Caleb was ok...that is very scary. Say hello to your family for me...and your little sweetness too. :)
I hope you are having a wonderful day….
Your friend,
Amanda Brielle

Poor you!!! I do have to admit that with feeling sorry for you came many laughs. That just sounds like a week I would have!!!! Actually, now that you mention it... last Thursday I ran my finger through the sewing machine. No real damage done. I've had a wire in my braces that has been poking me for about a two weeks and finally had it removed today, the inside of my mouth is thanking me profusely. Hmm... I'm sure given time I could think of more but you get the point.
Other than damaging your self completely this week I hope things have been going well for you!!!
Blessings,
Liz

Hi Amanda!
Wow, you sound like me! I hurt myself a lot. And I knock things over a lot. LOL I'm constantly hurting myself by turning a corner too fast, and my shoulder hits the corner-wall, or stubbing my toe, or dropping things on myself, or running into someone, etc., etc. And if I'm not doing one of those things, I'm accidentially knocking over someone's cup, (Like my cousin's cup at my friend's party on Saturday...... it was lemonade...... on carpet... oops!), or dropping something, or, well, you get what I'm saying. :-)
I'm not so bad that I break things in stores, or trip on steps, (A lot), or anything like that. It's just that when I'm comfortable with where I am and who I'm with..... I become my klutzy, ditzy self. :-)
Oh well. People who trip or have thier heads in the clouds make boring places more fun, right? :-)
Hugs,
Becca

LizBeth said, Mom, You've got to go read SuperAngel's blog. I'd hug you, but I'm afraid I'd hurt you - or maybe you'd hurt me! May I suggest a padded room, or maybe being wrapped in bubble wrap. No nix that. Someone will hurt you, popping the bubbles (my favorite thing to do is put it under the rug for some unsuspecting soul).
While I feel your pain, I was seriously, ROFLOL!!!! Hysterically.
Please be careful the rest of this week.
Blessings, MaggieRaye

Wow, nice tag, did you have to be so graphic? That post should have been rated R for carnage or something! Lol! JK!
Seems like you really whack yourself up. How many days did that take place in? I can only think of one way that I hurt myself this week, and that is by opening a stuck window! (I pulled my back out, the window was really, really stuck.)
Oh, and you should post comments on my ericnovak.com blog, bc my homeschoolblogger blog is really not my main anymore.

My diagnosis is to do as much work as you can so that you're not busying yourself with getting things down from the closet.
First! Remove #2... since .. well...
Oh, and where was the blood? I missed that. Darn.
Washing the dishes is a very safe job (I'll put the knives up first though) and vacuum (but don't trip over your own feet or the cord). You could also wash windows, which I think is completely safe.
Oh and the last thing you could do... make dinner every 4 days... at least.
See no harm done.
The amount for this diagnosis is $230. Please pay with PayPal or MO within the next four days (and bring that dinner with you).
Signed,
Doctor Spock

Oooo, ouch, eeee, this just wasn't your week was it? I am always the one stubbing my toe, once I think I almost broke it I stubbed so hard...I coudn't walk for two days without shoes on. The worst injury I've had was a broken finger when playing baseball a while back, hurt like crazy!!! Black and blue all over. Funny I played the rest not thinking it was broken, but just yelping every time I caught the ball. Not fun, at all!!! I hope you are feeling better soon!

Did all of that happen in ONE week?! I feel so bad for you!
Rebekah (#10) knocked her front tooth out a few weeks ago. She tripped over a scooter in the driveway. The next one won't be coming in for 4 or 5 years! She doesn't mind though, she knocked it back at first, but when it finally came out (a week later) "my do ride doooder now!"

I guess I should have listened to my mom, but I saw you holding a baby on your pictures. I've never read the CoH that you mentioned but I think my mom does. I'm not usually up at this time but my mom and I have a tradition about my birthday. We stay up or get up on the time I was born which was 4:17am Aug 5th and then we recognize 12 hours later and 24 hours later, most people think it's crazy but it is what we do every year. I usually fall asleep and my mom wakes me up and says, well, you're ?? years and one day older! This year I'm 14 and almost one day older. Okay, long comment, sorry! Ohhhh, I never did hear anything more about SSA, is that still going to happen?
