Recently I have found a new favorite cd. It was in the eBay box, but I took it and started listening to it. Boy I am sure glad I did. It's the City On A Hill: Sing Alleluia. It has a bunch of different artists on it, so its a mix.
There are so many great praise songs on it to God. The words on some of them are just so powerful. Whoa.
One of the ones I really like and keep on repeat is this one.
The Comforter Has Come
O spread the tidings round,
Wherever a man is found,
Wherever human hearts and human woes abound,
Let every Christian (mortal) tongue proclaim the joyful sound;
The Comforter has come.
The long night has past,
The morning breaks at last,
And hushed the dreadful wail and fury of the blast,
As o'er the golden hills the day advances fast,
The Comforter has come.
The Comforter has come.
O boundless love divine
How shall this tongue of mine,
To wondr'ing mortals tell the matchless, grace divine,
That I, a child of hell, in His image shine.
The Comforter has come.
The Comforter has come.
The Comforter has come.
It is very calming to know that the Comforter of all our griefs and sorrows is near. And even tho we are sinful and disobedient children, He will always comfort us because He always loves us.
