What's Going On Lately...

This Article was published in Daily bloggings of a 17 year old Girl on her way to becoming a Woman of God

It is October 6th. 20 days til my 18th birthday. I can't believe it. I can't wait. Are you coming to my SUPER bash?? So far I have... no one coming. LOL!! And I must say, I thought I would have almost all of you coming by now. lol!! We will still be having the bonfire and cookout, don't know about the dancing and hay ride. lol. Would be kinda hard to dance when its only my family and me!! Altho we have 9 people who can dance, it wouldn't be very fun. Oh well, sometimes things don't go the way we want.
Like Thursday nite, when I was recording Smallville. Well, it doesn't come in good at all and I was really trying to get it in so at least we could see some of it. It wouldn't quit skipping, so I recorded some and then played it back to make sure you could see, you could. So I just left it skipping because I knew it would be fine on the tape. Well... we were watching it last nite, and after the 2nd commercial break, it was skipping. Man... it did it the rest of the show. So for about 45min of the show it was skipping and we couldn't see it at all. ugh... well at least we could listen to it. lol. Well towards the last 15min. it started skipping in the voices too. So needless to say it was hard to figure out what was going on. By the end of it, Jocelyn was complaining she had a headache from watching it skip so much. So that didn't go my way.
Dad was on vacation last week, and to my surprise, he took off this coming week too!! 2 weeks vacation. WOOT!! Can't wait to find out what we will be doing next. We didn't really do anything special this week. Just kinda took it easy.
Lucy will be 6 months tomorrow!! WOW!! I can't believe it. She is getting so big and sweeter everyday.
I don't know if ou noticed, but I took off that I was reading Bleak House. That book was so boring. Even watching the movie didn't help me get interested into it. So I am now rereading "The Shadow At Evening" by Chris Walley. It is part of "The Lamb Among The Stars Series". I really enjoy these books. Altho I can't figure out when they are set because I want to think that its after Jesus came back, but I can't figure it out. Oh well... maybe when I get book 3 it will explain it more. "Dark Foundations" is on my birthday wish list.
The Super Secret Angels session #1 is coming to an end. I ran it for 3 months and now everyone is excited to see who was such an encouragement to them. I am accepting submissions to join the next session. Check out the Super Secret Angels blog for more info on how to sign up to be a part of the next one.
I posted a funny story about what an Oreo really is according to Mom at My Learning Experience. LOL!! It's pretty funny, you should go read it.
And... check out the Saturday Psalm and Praise below this post.
So that is what's been going on lately here... I don't think I forgot anything. lol!!
As Always,

Do I get to be the first to leave a comment? Oh goody. :-) Happy early birthday! There. Now was I the first one to wish you a happy birthday this year? Haha.

It took me a loooong time to finish reading Bleak House. I never did watch the movie; I'll have to get it soon before I forget everything I've read.

Have a good weekend!
Love,
Mandy

birthday? 18? Awesome. I'm sorry u can't get anyone to come. I would come but since I live several hours away and have school that day, that's not plausable. BUT I will wish you a happy birthday that day.
God Bless, hope your weekend and this week goes well.

Will you get to see the show you missed later? Sometimes they run these shows at other times or other channels. You must have been really disapointed.

My book reading philosophy: This earthly life is short, only read the good books!

LOL! The Original OREO!!! That was funny!

Concerning the pseudo-paperweight.
So, was my compliment a compliment after all? I still like it best.

Did I niss anything? This was sort of a bits-and-pieces comment. :)

Wow, is your birthday already that close? How exciting! I really wish I could be there-- I'd even bring along the chocolate and marshmallows for the bonfire.

Very cool about your dad's vacay. It is so nice to spend time together with everyone at home.

I don't know if it's just my tired old eyes or not, but I'm having a hard time reading your post with the red font on top of the blue background. Is it just me? Maybe with a darker shade of red it would be easier to read the words?

I could still read it of course but just FYI. Just don't go through too much trouble for little ole me. :-)

I can't believe Lucy is almost 6 months old! She is one adorable little lady with the most beautiful eyes.

Gotta run. Time to clip some coupons and get ready for bed.

Have a great Lord's Day!

Amanda! OMGOSH, I feel so awful! I really, honestly, seriously, absolutely, positively want to come to your Super Birthday Bash, but I don't know how to convince my parents that I need to go to. I really think you ought to IM or talk to my mom to convince her that we should come...just lay the guilt trip or something. LOL! I know that she would just LOVE to come too, but there are so many things going on right now, it's just crazy. But I would still give it a try!

Hey, I figured out that BlogLog thingy! Aren't I smart? ; ) Haha

Ok, I seriously want to call to you this week, I have a lot to talk about and I'm sure you do too.

Jenna ; )

I love reading about "life" posts :) I am currently reading Simple Gifts by Lori Copeland. Then I will be reading Sophie's Dilema by Lauraine Snelling. I started to watch 300 last night (after reading your mom's post about it) but about 15 mins in I turned it off. I was watching it on the computer and so it was... skipping. (LOL!) and the voices were five minutes behind the actually talking. Also, it was just to boring for me. But I did hear the famous line 'THIS.. IS.... SPARTA!!!!' :D

Instead I turned on Troy. :)

I have been wearing skirts since I was 7 years old. So I have learned to "adapt" sort of... :D Yeah the world won't spare us one skirt.. argh.. lol!

Hmm.. Lets see.. I watched a marathon of SV I think of Last season...? Not sure what season it was. For all I know it could have been 2 years ago. Yeah it probably is confusing to me. I can watch it from the beginning and catch up though. Just sitting down and finding the time to do that is the hard part :P

RYC: We only threw the geese in the pool because we were taking it down. Normally we don't do that. Normal families don't throw their geese in the pool because they don't have geese! ;)

Nah, I don't like being normal, give some abby-normal to me :D

We have a better chance of getting your party, I will talk to you about it on IM tomorrow.

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
