The BEST Birthday EVER!!

This Article was published in Birthdays, Anniversaries, Births, etc

Ok....so I think a week is long enough to wait to hear my 18th birthday story and I am thinking you all are thinking the same thing, right?? lol. I feel really bad about not getting it done sooner. Sorry. FINALLY my SUPER Birthday post!! (I am still trying to get pictures uploaded, so be sure to check back soon!!)

Friday the 26th:
I got up and Joc was on the computer. She was almost done and went down to the barn. I checked my mail and to my utter surprise I have about 30 emails. They were all comments, but I was in shock really at the hugeness of the surprise birthday post. I knew that she would probably put a post up for me, but nothing like what she did. That was so spectacular. So I opened my page and there is one of the best birthday parties ever!! I read over the post and then the comments. I was so impressed that everyone took the time to do that for me. Then came the awesome task of going and reading everyone's parties, which btw... if you haven't gone and read them, YOU MUST. They were so sweet and awesome. I skimmed through the ones that were there, because I needed to get to the horses.
I finally pulled myself away from the computer and went to the barn. I was cleaning out the horse stalls when Grandma Starr called me, so I talked to her. Then I hung up the phone, handed it to Hannah, and then it starts ringing again. It was Grandma Dixon. I talked to her for a bit, and then went to do some laundry. I couldn't go to the computer room, because Rachel was getting her party up. Dad called when I was doing laundry, so I got to talk to him too. Then I went to the office, and Joc was on the computer doing some things, and I went and got Lucy. I played with her for awhile and then she needed MomMom and came back to the office to see if Joc was finished. I really wanted to read everyone's entries. Jocelyn was finally done and I got to read everyone's entries really good. I was in tears from most of them. You are all so awesomely sweet to me.
I got finished reading everyone's entries that I knew about at the time, and realized that I still hadn't finished my report for HSBA. Ahh.... I was really worried I wouldn't be able to get it done by the time it needed to be. So I started it right then. I was on the computer alot that day off and on.
In the afternoon, I went and got our soda pops and went to the library with my little girly, Hannie. We came home and I got back on the computer to finish my report and read more of the parties. We cleaned up the house most of the way, and then did some other things. Then  all of the sudden it was 9pm. Ugh... the day had gone too fast. Dad got home and we ate dinner. Then we found out we needed some more things from the store and decided we would go get them. We left about 11:15pm. I had to get gas and then we went to Wal-Mart. We left that place about 1:30am and got home shortly there after. Then we cleaned up a bit more, and started making the food for the party. We didn't get to bed til about 5am.

Saturday the 27th:
Got up around 9:15am and went to the barn. Came in and got ready. Then I helped do some things like clean up and get kids ready. Then I had to go get some ice and our drinks. Came home and we finished the food we haven't done yet.
back. I returned her to

My best friend, Katie, got here first. I haven't seen her since July, so we got caught up with each other. It was so nice to see her.

Here is Katie with Lucy. I love this picture!!

Then the Hidlebaugh's got here. I had met Mrs. H before, but not anyone else. Britta, Megan, Micah, Zarah, and Abigail all came. Zarah shares my birthday and she is the sweetest thing too. Cutie!! Then Mr. Schenck came and we started eating. We had a ton of food. I will list what we had and the recipes at My Learning Experience later, so be checking there.
Around 2pm, the Novak's arrived. We were coming up from the barn after showing the Hidlebaugh's our animals. I was carrying Cal-Eb, and went over to greet them. Mrs. Novak gave me a hug and I said hello to the girls and Eric.  We went in and introduced everyone, and then the Novak's got some food. I went out and chatted with Mrs. H for awhile and then Grandpa and Dorothy got here.
Everyone just fellowshipped for awhile and got to meet everyone. Then finally Dad called and said that he was on his way home. YAY!! So we waited til he got home to do cake and presents. He got home shortly and we did cake.

It was funny, they sang Happy Birthday to me twice. lol. One with the candles lit, the other not. Then we opened presents.

I hate having the birthday song sung to me. So embarassing...

October146.jpg image by Super_Angel
Oh smile!!

October147.jpg image by Super_Angel
I actually blew out all of the candles except for one. I think that one was Sylvia's candle that won't blow out. lol
Now, for the record, I am not listing my gifts because I want to 'show' you all what I got, but I want to show you all how blessed I was.

My Family: Flash drive, Supergirl shirt, Ishmael, 56oz of Skittles, pajama pants.

I got surprise birthday cards from:
Brooke, who did some really special and sweet things in it.
    Ms. Paige from England
Brielle, who got me a singing Superman card
Sharla, she got me a singing Superman card too, but they were different.
Now, that doesn't even include all the amazing gifts from everyone's parties for me that they gave me on their blogs.

After the gifts we had the really good Black Forest Cake and ice cream. We spent a little more time with everyone, and then the Hidlebaugh's, Grandpa and Dorothy, and Katie all left.
Then we spent the rest of the evening with the Novak's. We ate some more food, fellowshipped, and then I checked my blog, email, and other things. I went into the kitchen and did the dishes and cleaned up too. After that, I went upstairs to see what Joc and Eric were doing and then we got ready for bed. GO read Joc's entry to see what else happened that nite. Eric did. LOL!! It is pretty funny.
Make sure to read Jocelyn's post and Rachel's post. They might have some things I left out.

Well that is what happened for my birthday. I figured this was long enough and decided that on Wednesday, I will share what we did with the Novak's on Sunday and Monday. We had a wonderful visit.

I am just so blessed. I really cannot tell how much you all have blessed me with everything you have done to make this birthday the best ever!! You truly are my best friends!! Love you all!!

As Always,

I also hate having the birthday song sung to me, unless it's over the phone which is what our relatives do. :-)

Wow! It sounds like you had a fabulous time, and it's strikingly obvious how very greatful you are for your friends here at HSB. I'm curious to read your side of the rest of the weekend now. Your's, Joc's and Rachel's were all so similar yet different from one another that I want to see what the story looks like from your side!

Thanks for adding me to your e-mail list! :-D Have a great night!

Much love,
Mellie

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
