Saturday Psalm and Praise-Signature Of Divine

This Article was published in Memes and Carnivals

Today is Saturday and that means its time for Saturday Psalm and Praise. For more on this meme, go over to Mom's blog. She has hers up too and it is a really great one.

I picked this song because I think the words are just so awesome. I recently heard this and totally fell in love with it.  It is so true that we have tried so hard to see the image of God, when it is right in front of us. It's His people that are his image.

Signature of Divine

by

NeedToBreathe

Cathedrals have tried in vain

To show the image of Your face.

But we are, by Your design,

The signature of divine.

We'll always sing Your name.

Forever and today.

Chorus:

Yahweh, Yahweh...

Great is Your glory when You go before me

Oh, we sing...

Holy, Holy...

Your ways are lovely. So high above me.

Yahweh

The fortunes of kings and queens

Are wasted chasing what we've seen.

Cause we are, by Your reprieve,

The beauty framed by Your suffering.

We'll always sing Your name.

Forever and today.

Chorus:

Yahweh, Yahweh...

Great is Your glory when You go before me

Oh, we sing...

Holy, Holy...

Your ways are lovely. So high above me.

Yahweh

Take me, and pull me through.

Cause I can't move without You.

I won't leave You alone, You say.

It will be okay.

Chorus:

Yahweh, Yahweh...

Great is Your glory when You go before me

Oh, we sing...

Holy, Holy...

Your ways are lovely. So high above me.

Yahweh

Ancient of Days...

Yahweh!

Chorus:

Yahweh, Yahweh...

Great is Your glory when You go before me

Oh, we sing...

Holy, Holy...

Your ways are lovely. So high above me.

Yahweh

I hope you are touched by this. Yahweh reigns and I will sing it forever and TODAY!!

Ah, yes, I like this song, until I saw the music video for it...strangest music video....it kind of dampened my love for the song. I now prefer...

As we lift up our hands,
will you meet us here?
As we call on your name
will you meet us here?
We have come to this place,
To worship you,
God of mercy and grace.
It is You
We adore
It is You
Praises are for
Only You
The heavens declare
It is You
It Is You

The song is called It Is You, by the newsboys but the lyrics probebly aren't exactly right since I wrote them by heart...

Hey Amanda!
Nice to hear from ya; Thanks for the comment...My break has been wonderful!! I'm amazingly spending much less time on the internet. I finally realize how much time it was taking up, and I've been able to concentrate on other things. BUT, it has not stopped me from visiting you and your sister's blog, because when I say I love your blogs, I really mean it! It has encouraged me greatly and I get so much out of your posts, plus I like to keep up with y'all ;-)

Anyhoo: I like NeedtoBreath. I've never heard the song though. The lyrics are pretty.

Have a great weekend,
Luv,
Brooke

November 10, 2007 at 2:58 PM...Haha, how ironic

Commented by A10B8CM6

You are gonna die when you hear this... that same evening after I sent you a comment, I got a phone call from the NAtional Guard!!! =/. I said I wasn't interested. I thought they would have stopped since I obviously wasn't ever interested. I about died though when they called. How ironic can you get. To the person who wondered why women shouldn't be drafted. In this day and age, it's a wonder to me it isn't a requirement. But from a religious point of view, only men fight wars and women care for the children. I am a petite young lady, compared to most men, I'd be very vulnerable and I wouldn't stand a chance. Most of the time women are shorter, weigh less and aren't as strong as men. There are exceptions but think about it. a 5'1", 100 lb women against a 6'5", 250lb man. Very few women are that large. Few women are even near 6ft tall at all. Most men are though. I quite highly doubt the men who wrote the constitution ever imaged women in a war, even worse, being drafted to war. I think even if women had to sign up for possible draft, the government would pick men over women for various reasons. Not intending to start any argument, just stating the fact that as a young fairly petite women, I would NOT want to fight with men who are about a foot taller or so than me, weight twice what I do and may be able to bench press my weight, yikes! I think the average woman s 5'4", 120lbs ( b4 children) and the average man is 5'11' 180lbs. From a biblical perspective, men are the protectors and providers and they fight the wars and battles to protect their family and their property. It's bad when men have to be drafted, drafts aren't common so there should be little worry. We need to pray for America, for many more reasons than a draft that includes women. America has so many problems that need dealt with but no one knows how to clean the problem up. If they try to clean up on one issue, there's another worse one that pops up. May God have mercy on us. God Bless.

By the way, when I said men are stronger, I meant arm muscle, they have more energy in fighting ways. Women aren't weak. You can't be that weak to give birth and raise children, care for a home, etc..., God gave men and women different types of strengths and weaknesses to clear that up. I felt that came out wrong.

Wow. That's a really neat song. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the commentpliment. ;-) I was really surprised at how many people liked it! It did come from my heart though, and that's usually where the best writing comes from.

Know something funny? I had just left you that comment saying my sister Josie hadn't gotten anything from the armed services yet, even though she's turning 18 next month. Well, she went out to get the mail yesterday and, lo and behold, the marines want her! It was actually funny because of what I had just told you!

Yeah, it was pretty cool when my Dad co-owned the coffee shop. He's actually not working there now, but that's a whole 'nother long story. As you know he's considering a job way up north (from here anyway). Thanks so much for praying for us and especially Josie. We so appreciate it!

Love ya'!

-Mellie

Hey!

Yes.... blue is still one of my favorite colors, but I love seeing stuff like cameras and phones in pink. LOL When I get a cell phone, (In a few years - once I have my liscense), I want it to be pink. :-D

Feels like I haven't talked to you in forever! :-)

That's a great song! Very nice.

Hope you're having a great week so far!

Hugs,
Becca

What I Believe

I am a Biblical Believer and don’t conform to the denominations of today’s world. I am a non-fiction Believer. That means that God has already written my life story and I don’t want to change it by doing what I want, but follow it perfectly by His Word and Guidance. I will follow that plan alone. I will not make my own plans, but follow where He leads me.
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and love Him as my Savior. I want to live wholly for Him and give my everything to Him.
I believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the Only Son of God. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father unless through Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus Christ was beaten, crucified, and rose again in three days. I believe that He died for my sins, and washed them away. I believe that He is coming back for his people some day soon.
I believe that a marriage consists of a MAN and a WOMAN. I believe that the husband should be the head of the household and that all decisions lie ultimately with him. I believe that a woman should be a keeper of her home. I believe she does not need to get a job outside of her home and out of the authority of her husband.
I believe in a full quiver, and that God will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that the woman should stay home and raise her children in the LORD.
I am praying and waiting for God to bring the man of my dreams. I can’t wait to get married and have my own family. I am excited that I can be a stay at home mom and keep my home. I want to be a Homemaker and make my home to be a haven for my family to learn to be Biblical and Godly.
I hope to be an encouragement and teach Biblical things to all who stop by my blog and be encouraged and learn from others.
