It's All FOR You, But All About HIM!

I am just in awe of the sacrifice of my Savior! I'm speechless at His love for me that He went through such a a horrible scourging and a painful death for my sins. Celebrating Pesach this week has brought new meaning to what Christ did for me. Studying the Word and learning about the Jewish culture has been amazing to me because it has shown me Christ's character and His life. Unfortunately, the Jewishness has been taken out of everything and thus we cannot understand fully the significance of what Christ has done for us and what it truly means. Jewishness is of God because the Jews are God's Holy people. He set up their customs, therefore they are His design for His people.
We watched The Passion of the Christ today, and I am going to add through tears too, and as I was watching it, there I noticed things I hadn't noticed before because I have a better understanding of the Jewish culture. I also realized and was amazed at Yeshua's endurance and purpose of going through beatings, and scourgings, and carrying His cross all while looking towards Calvary. He wanted to go there for us! He looked forward to going there so that He might save us through his sacrifice and His blood. I have really never seen it that way before. As I watched The Passion today I realized that Yeshua had so much stamina as a human. What His body went through was more than anyone could have borne, yet He did!
I am in dumbfounded for the right words to express my gratitude and the awe I am feeling that Yeshua took my punishment and death, so that I could live forever! It is almost too much to comprehend.
I am so thankful for His sacrifice, His love, His endurance, His pain, His Blood, His stripes, His deat and His resurrection. All of that was for us. He did all that for us so that we can sin over and over and still be forgiven. He did that for US. When I was younger there was a song that really struck me. It is by Jonah33 and while their music is really hard, the words to this song are so powerful.
All For You
His time with them had stopped,
It's time for Him to carry out His father's will,
Is that He drink this cup
He's told them all along that He would go,
They could not follow Him
But He'll be back for them my friend
And now He sweats these drops of blood
And He prays take this cup from me
But He knows there's no other way
His father's will is that He take your sin, your shame,
Your place upon that cross of pain And die for you
There's no way to repay
All the pain He went through for you
His reason: simply His love
It's time to see the truth
And understand there's nothing you can do
His reason was simply you
It was all for, it was all for you
He bled and He died for you
We live by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ
Who died to set us free
From chains our flesh can give
You know that even if you were the only one He died for
That means only your sins drove the nails
No time to hesitate my friend
No time to second guess His love
There's nothing else that you can do
He already gave it all for you
All for you, all for you, all for you
Simply you
Isaiah 53:4-10
In fact, it was our diseases he bore, our pains from which he suffered; yet we regarded him as punished, stricken and afflicted by God.
But he was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins; the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him, and by his bruises we are healed.
We all, like sheep, went astray; we turned, each one, to his own way; yet ADONAI laid on him the guilt of all of us. Or: and in fellowship with him though mistreated, he was submissive - he did not open his mouth. Like a lamb led to be slaughtered, like a sheep silent before its shearers, he did not open his mouth.
After forcible arrest and sentencing, he was taken away; and none of his generation protested his being cut off from the land of the living for the crimes of my people, who deserved the punishment themselves.
He was given a grave among the wicked; in his death he was with a rich man. Although he had done no violence and had said nothing deceptive, yet it pleased ADONAI to crush him with illness, to see if he would present himself as a guilt offering. If he does, he will see his offspring; and he will prolong his days; and at his hand ADONAI's desire will be accomplished.
Thank you Yeshua for what you did for me. I am so unworthy of your sacrifice and love.
Let's focus on Him this week, because HE IS RISEN and He reigns! This week is all about HIM!
Shalom to you!

Celebrating Pesach: An Old Feast and New Importance
Published on April 9, 2009 at 4:47 PM
This Article was published in Biblical Holidays, Festivals, and Feasts
I cannot express how awesome it is to read the Scriptures and have your eyes open to what God wants you to do. Ever since last Fall, we have been doing an in-depth study into Biblical Holidays and Festivals and it has been a wonderful experience. It is especially neat to me because since we started this I have been studying the Old Testament and being able to partake in the same festivals and holidays that God's people did is an experience that I am very glad to do!
We Celebrated Hanukkah back in December and we have also been observing Sabbath and this week we are celebrating Passover.
Yesterday on Nissan 14 of the Jewish calendar, Passover or Pesach started at 6:45pm. There was much preparation that we did for our Passover Seder and it was a lot of work, but the end reward which was the Seder dinner was just amazing to me!
This was our Seder table. It was beautifully set too! We used china set, Great Grandma Duvall's table cloth, and other special glasses and such.
Caleb and I waiting to begin the Pesach service.

Dad lead the "service" of our Seder by reading out of the Haggadah. The Haggadah is the text that sets out the order of the Pesach Seder. Haggadah, meaning "telling," is a fulfillment of the scriptural commandment to each Jew to "tell your son" about the Jewish liberation from slavery in Egypt, as described in the book of Exodus in the Torah.
I loved looking at all the children just sitting at the table watching and listening to Dad explain what Passover was and why it is important to observe it.
I got to sit by the Dude and we shared the Haggadah and read it together.
The first thing we did for Pesach was light the candles and display the Seder Plate.

Our Seder dinner was: roasted eggs, bitter herbs (horseradish root), Matzah, Charoset, parsley, and salt water.
Then we drink from one of the Four Cups and each one has a blessing. The cups represent four expressions of redemption: Cup 1 is the Cup of Sancification
Cup 2 is the Cup of Judgement
Cup 3 is the Cup of Redemption
Cup 4 is the Cup of the Kingdom
Dad washed his hands that represents Aaron washing his hands and feet before coming to the altar and also Jesus washing the disciples feet.
After Dad washed, we partook of the Karpas which is the eating of parsley dipped in salt water. The Karpas symbolizes the lowly origin of the people and the tears shed because of slavery.
Next is the Matzah. Matzah is unleavened bread because the Hebrews didn't have time to wait for the bread to rise as they were leaving Egypt. Leavening is a symbol of sin and the unleavened bread is a symbol of having no sin. It is also a portrait of our Savior, Yeshua. There are Three Matzahs. They each represent Adoniah, Yeshua and the Holy Ghost.
Dad then hid the Afikoman which is wrapped in linen and hidden like Yeshua was when He was buried.
When the Afikoman was hid, the Littles then asked the Four Questions:
1. Why do we eat only unleavened bread on this night when all other nights we eat either leavened bread or Matzah?
2. Why do we eat only bitter herbs on this night when all other nights we eat all kinds of vegetables?
3. Why do we dip our vegetables twice on this night when we do not dip our vegetables even once all other nights?
4. Why do we eat our meals reclining or leaning on this night, when on all other nights we eat our meals sitting?
We then read the Pesach story of Moses and the deliverance of the Hebrews. We also took a look at how Yeshua is our Pesach Lamb and the similarities between Him and the Lamb that the Hebrews used on Pesach.
Then we drank from the Second Cup and said the blessing for this cup. Now we partook of the Matzah and the Bitter Herbs which was horseradish root. The Bitter Herbs represent the bitterness of slavery and also of our sins. I would not recommend eating a big bite of the horseradish, your ears and toes will be on fire if you do... take my advice from experience! ;)
When we finished the Matzah and Bitter Herbs, we then ate the Charoset. The Charoset represents the mortar used by the Israelites in Egypt and how the sweetness of Yeshua can overcome the bitterness of our sin.
Now we ate a wonderful dinner of steak, mashed potatoes, salad and corn and when we were finished the children looked for the Afikoman.
Next, we all sat down at the table and drank the Third Cup.
After we drank it, we all sang Amazing Grace together instead of Dayenu, because we don't know that song... yet! Next year, we will sing it tho.
When Amazing Grace was over, we read about the Fourth Cup. This cup is not drunk, because when Yeshua partook in His last Pesach, the Fourth Cup was left over when Yeshua went to the Garden of Gethsemane. This Fourth Cup reminds us that Yeshua didn't drink this cup as He was on the cross dying. We wait to drink this cup til we are with our Savior in Heaven.
To close our Pesach Seder service, you say: " Lehshahna Hahbahah Berushalawyim" which says, " Next Year in Jerusalem".
As we finished our Pesach service, I was about in tears realizing the importance of celebrating Pesach because our Savior, Yeshua is just beyond words! I am so thankful for His sacrifice and love for us to give Himself and become our sin, so we can be redeemed!
THANK YOU YESHUA for your life, death, sacrifice and resurrection, so that one day I can spend eternity with you!
No, we aren't Jewish, but we have been studying the Bible and we are commanded to observe the festivals and holidays of the Bible. Yeshua did not abstain from them and He did not "free" us from observing them.
Matthew 5:17-20
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
If Yeshua celebrated the holidays and festivals, why don't we? Search the Scriptures and be open to what God wants to show you! :)
Shalom to you!

Celebrating Hanukkah: An Old Festival & New Tradition
Published on December 29, 2008 at 11:06 PM
This Article was published in Biblical Holidays, Festivals, and Feasts
This year we celebrated the holidays differently than we have ever done. We celebrated Hanukkah. These past couple of months we have been studying and learning about Jewish culture and all their wonderful holidays and festivities. It has been neat to read about them because our Savior also celebrated them.
One thing we gathered from learning and also from Scriptures is that we are only supposed to Remember Christ's death and resurrection. We are not called to remember His birth. The only reason to do anything with His birth is to remember the reason for His coming: salvation. Thus we do not celebrate Christ Mass. With the whole remembrance thing and that Christ Mass was designed by the Catholics to replace and take over the pagan Solstice, we decided we did not want to take part in it.
So this year we celebrated Deliverance which is Hanukkah. This year we kinda just dipped our toes in to see what it was and why it was established. We are trying to celebrate our own traditions and not follow anyone else's.
Hanukkah started on December 21st and went through December 29th.
Monday: We read the Hanukkah story and learned why Hanukkah is celebrated. I gave the family a copy of Facing the Giants.
Tuesday: We read the Scriptures and I gave the family a copy of Flywheel.
Wednesday: Dad gave the family Worthy Is The Lamb from Nest Family Entertainment. I also gave Mama a Special Edition 10th Anniversary Pride and Prejudice Collectors set.
Thursday: Dad gave the family He Is Risen from Nest Family Entertainment. Grandma gave us all hats and gloves. We learned to crochet and knit.
Friday: Dad gave the family Pilgrim's Progress: Journey To Heaven. We then discussed the movie and Scriptures.
Saturday: Dad gave the family The Kingdom of Heaven from Nest Family Entertainment.
Sunday: I gave the family the Confronting Evolution Highlights from the Creation Seminar Series from Creation Science Evangelism by Dr. Kent Hovind.
Thursday morning, er, noonish, when I got up it was a beautifully sunny day! I didn't have any work I could do on Vostro, so I went over to the couch and cuddled up under LillieGirl's BIP afghan... I was too lazy to go get my own! :P I asked Hanners to go up to my room and get the basket of yarn for me and a crocheting needle. Someone had had a ball of yarn out earlier in the week and was trying to learn to crochet. So I decided I wanted to learn. I had Grandma show me how to start and I couldn't get a dumb slipknot for the life of me! I finally got it and started on my first chain. I kept practicing that for awhile because I wanted to get it down before I started another one. After I got the first chain down pretty well, I looked up on youtube how to do the second chain.
Let me tell you... it is so neat to learn something new! So I have been spending a bunch of time practicing crocheting, well the time I am not working on GGM or chores or work! :D It is pretty neat!
I have quite a few projects I can't wait to get started on, but I will have to start them after the new year!
See? I wear my hat ALL the TIME! :)
Do you know how truly a wonderful blessing it is to have a Grandma living with in a 5mi radius of your home? Unless you live far away from them, I don't think you can know how truly blessed you are! I have LOVED LOVED LOVED having Grandma living with us! Even though she is in her own Shoppe, it is such a wonderful thing having her so close by! She is so awesome and I just LOVE her to death!
Thursday morning she came over and taught us some crocheting things and knitting things and then when Mama got up and everyone was together we opened our gifts from her!
We went from youngest to oldest, so by the third child we all knew what we were getting! ;) Although we all knew we were getting hats and gloves, we didn't know what they would be! When I first opened mine, I saw this:
Seeing that I knew exactly what I had gotten:
Aren't those just neat? I really like them!
We really had a wonderful time learning, celebrating and giving to each other. I loved learning all the history behind Hanukkah and celebrating something that Jesus celebrated when He was human.
I would really encourage you to look into and research the Jewish feasts and festivals because they are beautiful celebrations and really have meaning! I am looking forward to learning more about Jewish holidays and celebrating them in the coming year!
Love, Prayers and Blessings,

Thanks for stopping by “Daily” at the “Planet”!!
