SURPRISE!!! Happy Birthday SUPERANGEL

Dear Amanda
I really wanted to do something special for your birthday, so I devised a plan to throw you a surprise blog-party. I posted about "the secret", which I told you was a secret blog-party I was throwing for another blogger.
Yes, I know you thought I would dare forget your 18TH birthday, but I wouldn't. I emailed all your friends, and some that weren't, and they began to plan their own little blog-parties for you... because they lov e you and your blog and wanted to show it.
I know you really really wanted all your blog friends to come, so I hope this will make up for it. I really hope so because I put so much of my time, my thought, and my heart into making this work... and cried over it when I thought you had found me out (which you may have. I don't know). I hope you didn't, and this is a surprise for you!
On this day, October 26th, I hope you have one of the loveliest, brightest, happiest, sweetest, and SUPER-est days you've ever had!
Even though we don't always agree or be as nice as we can to each other, I love you very much, and I wanted to make this day SUPER special for you... even though you told me I better NOT throw you a blog-party.

HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY AMANDA!
Have a seat, and please enjoy yourself. See the table decorations? Red, blue, and yellow... yes, I did that on purpose.
I also baked a cake for you. I did my best to get the logo just right. I hope it does look ok...
I used cream cheese and whipped topping for the icing. I know how much you hate regular vanilla icing. And, don't  worry the cake is chocolate.
I really wanted to buy you a laptop, but I really couldn't, so I got you ...Dark Foundations. I know you've been wanting this since it came out so you could finish the series, so here it is. I hope you get a lot of wonderful birthday presents and warm wishes on your special day! I know we will have so much fun on Saturday when everyone gets here!
I already got the bonfire started... ok so maybe I am a little excited. Who wouldn't be?! I can't wait! I wish I could take you out for a bite, but I can't drive. hehehee...
Hey you thoughts everyone wasn't coming didn't you? Well, look at everyone who did come, just not in person (You MUST add your DIRECT PARTY link, if you did one!! PLEASE!!)!!

I laughed my head off at Paulie's graphic - he worked hard on it. But you must have him send you the LARGER version of it. The little one on his blog doesn't do the artwork justice. It is SO funny, especially the look on Schooter's face. And that dumb look on Paulie's face...LOL, have him send you the big version of this...you'll die laughing. And that poem! Oh my word, my boy's gonna be famous.....a;ldsjfldsjfljsdlfjlsdkjfsaf;sdj
Well, I've spent almost this entire comment talking about my son and how funny and poetic he is. Well, we're off soon for NC with all four kids plus Schooter the Wonder Ding Dong Dog - his staring just *creeps* me out.
Gotta go get more orange racks; we look so funny driving down the road with a load of those - weird stares but who cares (that was a poem. I am a poet and didnt' know it). Is Auntie rambling? Well...if I were THERE, I'd be givin' ya a hug and talkin' yer ear off anyway...but alas....I aint there.

I hope it was a great one!!! I would have commented sooner but we had a homeschool field trip with the group in my church. We left home around 8:00 am. and then came home, got ready, and went to a football game. And I just got home a little over an hour ago. So I was gone aaaaalllll day!!! And I'm on crutches!!! So sorry I missed your b-day - It was a very busy day for us yesterday, I had to attend a funeral and also my daughter was sick as well as 2 of my sons going to a church outing and then a sleepover! Just now I went through the family room and my husband is watching Smallville that he had taped from Thursday and it dawned on me that I had missed your birthday! I'm so glad to see that about 70 other people did not miss it and I hope you will except my belated birthday greetings...

Today is Cal-Eb's (Kal-el..) 2nd birthday!! I am in shock that he is only two. It seems like he has been here since our family began.
He is so smart and sweet and loving and caring. He is just about the best toddler ever. He is just too sweet, well most of the time. He is now potty-training, and it is a new chapter in our lives. He loves to go outside and play, and he LOVES the horses. He trys to do what he is told and is growing to be a big boy. He loves popsicles and loves watching The Chronicles of Narnia and some of LOTR. He loves Lucy and gives her hugs and kisses and playing with her. He likes to color, and help pick up around the house.

These were taken when the Suarez's first came up in April. Caleb remember Paulie by his phone and hat. So Paulie being the AWESOME guy he is let this 1 yo play with his authentic hat from Ireland... WOW!!
This is has to be my all time fav... Look at the peaceful sleep he is in. He just kinda curled up on the floor and went to sleep. Good Baby.
And this one... LOL!! He had just gotten out of the shower and I remembered that his hair does the best mohawk there is, so I just had to do it and take a pic!! LOL!!
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALEB!! I LOVE YOU!!

Congrats and many happy returns! He is so cute, appropriate name Kal-el! I absolutely love the Mohawk on him (though it seems he was infected by Red K, he went to his wild side)! I do it all the time to my two little brothers, except mine is before church and then my mom gets a frazzled at it! HaHaHa! I am waiting for the day when she doesn't catch them and change their hair back!

Aw, he's such a cutie!! My little brother is turning 2 this month, too. :-) They're about the same age. This is one of the funnest times, when they're just starting to talk so that you can actually understand them!! It's hilarious!!

Somebody is 16!!

OK… You all know what today is… Yep!! Jocelyn’s 16th birthday!! Oh man, I can’t believe she is 16!! I feel old. But then I wonder how Mom feels having ANOTHER 16 year old.
So in honor of her birthday, I am dedicating my blog to her for the next 10min!! Here are some wonderful things about her:
She is a Godly young woman who lives Biblically for Him. She tries everyday to do what is holy and succeeds most of the time, anyway.
She is so mature. Much more mature than I was at her age. “That is a rare gift”!! She shows her maturity in daily situations.
She encourages others to be the Godly young men and women they need to be.
She knows all about Lord of the Rings. Ask her anything and she will be able to give you an answer (snap) like that.
She has a passion for truth in all things. She has a passion for finding truth in everything. Books, life, everything.
She loves all people. She tries to be friends to all. She is soo likeable that you just can’t help liking her and WANT to be her friends!!
She is funny. She can usually lighten up a room with her smile and her attitude.
She is very modest!! Moreso than I am. Inward and outward.
She is very classical and would rather live in the Renaissance or Regency era than now.
She is someone who would go and do something, rather than ask someone else to go and do it for her. She is not lazy. She is a hard worker.
She is little Suzy homemaker!! She would rather stay home and clean, than go to town for grocery or something she might need. We have this joke going on that she will clean my house and I will do her grocery shopping and errands!!
She is AMAZING!! She is AWESOME, COOL, SWEET, and much more.
There are many other things I could tell you about her, but if you know her, then you know that she is the BEST!!
So go over to her blog and tell her happy bday.

I can’t wait to see what kind of woman and mother you will be. But I know you will be GREAT!!
Dad, Jocelyn, Rachel, Hannah and I all went to Jo-Ann Fabrics tonite. She got material for a Regency dress she is going to be making. It will look really good on her too.
I found some material for SWEETNESS. Guess what it has on it?? RASPBERRIES!! It is a pastel green background with raspberries. The raspberries have a sort of lilac tint to them. So I got some of that material and then some lilac material. I am going to make a baby blanket with it. It will look soo CUTE!!
Then we HAD to get Jocelyn a Dr. Pepper. We brought home Taco Bell to eat for dinner... YUM!!
So that is Jocelyn's bday. She will be having a ice cream cake tomorrow, and hopefully her gift will come that I ordered off eBay.

We only have one library card, so when it's blocked, we don't check out until it's unblocked! That means if I return my stuff but the girls don't, then the card is still blocked! what setup do you have with your cards?

To be fair, we didn’t start most of our plants out as seeds. We got them at the nursery. So with that, the nice weather, and getting everything planted in March, I guess we got somewhat of a head start.

I really wanted to call her Lesly, but my parents decided on Daniella. And then they didn't spell it the way I wanted to either! I wanted to spell it with one L - thought it was prettier. :-) Oh well. She's their child not mine! Hopefully I'll have my own to name someday. :-)

Oh... I am so greatly blessed!! I have another sister. Just what I wanted.
I can't go into details as this was not my birth... Mom wants to blog details.
I am so excited to have another sister!! I can't wait to dress her in pink, and frilly things. I am sort of tired of the boy colors and clothes that we have had to use the last two times.
She is so adorable!! She looks like me too, but she is so much smaller than I was!!.. There is no name yet, b/c we have to get to know the kids before we name them. Get to know their personality.
She was 6# 11oz. We haven't measured her yet, b/c she was a little cold, so the mw wanted her to be close to Mom.
She hasn't cried at all!! But she is vocal, so that is great. She has a sweet little voice. She was talking to me when I changed her earlier.
She as dark hair!! There are only 2 kids with dark hair, so lets hope she keeps it!!
I just love her to death!!
Well she is a great, content, sweet, precious girl. I can't wait to help raise her to be a Godly young woman!!
Praise God from whom all Blessings flow!! He sure has blessed us!!
Please go below for an Easter post!! That was my regular post, but we got his AWESOME surprise, so I thought it took precedence.

One Year Ago Today...

One year ago today, I started The Daily Planet. One year ago, I was a different person. One year ago, I was pretty much friendless.
This past year has changed many things, and has been a really great year. I have learned so many things and gained so many new friends….I am thankful that God put HSB in our lives….I can’t believe it has been a year all ready…where did the time go??
Thank you all for making The Daily Planet an awesome place.
Jocelyn and Rachel’s one year anniversary was yesterday, so go by and tell them congrats!! I may not have as many #’s of statistics as Jocelyn, but I am getting them and will eventually catch up to her!!
I have had so much fun being her on HSB!! I am addicted and loving it!!

I had to laugh when I read about you all dropping your mom's cell phone in water...not that it was funny, it just reminded me of when I did that once. We were at Bush's first inauguration, and it was a really nasty day here. Cold rain the entire time! So of course there were lots of puddles....anyway, mom and I and my brother got separated from everyone else. She had my brother, who was about six months at the time, so I took her phone, and dropped it right into a puddle. So we couldn't even get in contact with everyone else. We must have looked quite pathetic--a bunch of kids all soaking wet (and we all the next day had scarlet fever), feeling sick, and now dropping phones in puddles! Lots of people gave us umbrellas that day. LOL! But it makes a funny memory now.

I sure am glad you decided to start your blog one year ago! I won't hit one year until September. It has been a blessing getting to know you a little bit through Homeschoolblogger and you sure did brighten up my "homeschool blog" with your great design! :-) Keep on writing and challenging others to live for God!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to GRANDMA STARR!!
Sunday was my Grandma’s birthday and I meant to post this last Sat., so I will just do a belated post!!
I wish we could be together, but we get to see her in April, so its not that long. She had a great day!! Her friends took her out to eat and we called and sang "Happy Birthday".
Wish we were together to celebrate!! Hope you have a wonderful, great and special day filled with love and joy!!
