You start playing with your Snapple Raspberry lids...

I think its pretty self explanatory, don't you? So I'm a little addicted to Snapple Raspberry teas.. if you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you already know this. They are ALL NATURAL though, so they are healthy. :D
I am not sure where I got the creative juices to even come up with this... I just kinda did it. Kinda pathetic though that we have THAT many Snapple lids. Of course, not only are the Snapples healthy, but they are also educational... the lids each have a different "Real Fact" in them. So I get to learn something new everytime I get thirsty.
Wow! I better just stop now before I sound anymore stupid than I already do... :P
I am still repeating "I Think I Can, I Think I Can" to myself meaning that I haven't actually started my apron... I hope to do it tomorrow. "Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I promise Tomorrow"... ahem... *leaving now more stupid looking than before*
:D

Well I decided to go a little easy on you all today. haha... actually I am so tired with all the problems that we have been dealing with, that I want to do something fun!!

Not to mention that we have been watching Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End, and I am just in a happy mood right now.

And besides everything we are dealing with online, I have had a pretty decent beginning of the week, well besides the coldness of Indiana... I hate winter. We had some snow late last week, and now we have flooding. It has rained for the past 4 days. But I would rather deal with rain than snow.

Anyway... I thought I would post some tags that I had been tagged with

8 things I want to do before I die...

1.         Fall in love, and get married. (hopefully soon!!)

2.         Have my own house.

3.         Have kids and HOMESCHOOL them and watch them grow old.

Hey Amanda-

You updated again, LOL :) When did you do tags last...been awhile, LOL. I understand, sometimes you feel like they are so boring and some days you just can't resist doing them. Sometimes I just like reading tags cause that can really fun if you are "totally" bored.

That is so neat that your favorite band is Lifehouse. I really enjoy there music and my favorite song of theirs is "Everything." I even have it on my play list it is so good. There are so many good Christian bands to choose from that it is so hard, but I would have to say they are one of the better ones. I also like Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, MercyMe, Third Day, and more.

It is pretty cold here right now. We have a big snow storm on us and we have a lot of snow on the ground. My mom and my older brothers had to leave a couple of minutes ago because my oldest brother got stuck out in the snow. Thankful for cellphones, LOL. I'm not sure what he was doing out there in the first place and even more so with a tiny BMW. Oh well, that's teenagers, LOL. After today we are suppose to have a total of 8-10 inches of snow. That should be fun to play in.

Well g2g, have a great day!!!

Love, Miss Elizabeth

Neat answers! Do you like all three POTC?

Organic people are pretty rare! LOL! Do you by chance grind your own flour? I've never met anyone else in RL who did, no matter how wonderful it tastes!

We don't eat ham either.

You have "Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End"!?! Oh, how cool! My sister Celeste, is auppose to be getting it for us. :) I can't wait to watch it again. :D My mom totally grossed out at the part when one of the crew is playing with his toe and it snaps off. :D Sorry! And the funny part about it was, we were all eating popcorn! lol!

Ya'll have gotten snow!?! Oh, I wish it would snow here. We're suppose to get some snow flurrys sometime today but I'm not sure if we will. :(

Very cool tag! :)

(gasp) You can't eat shrimp!?! You poor thing! :( I'm so sorry about that.

So that's how you spell Pyrenees. As many times as people on HSB ask me, "what kind of dog you have", you'd think I'd remember how to spell it. :) It was hard having to give her away but it was for the best. We had to keep her on a chain 'cuz she liked to rome around the neighborhood and one neighbor said that if any dog came into his yard, he's shoot it. What she needed was a fenced in yard and we didn't have the money to spend to get one.

Well, hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!

lots of hugs,
Jordan Lee

I had some comments but got sidetracked (once again) with the thought of driving to the gas station? Every day?! What in the world is so great that you would drive every day to get 64oz of it? It boggles my mind, I tell ya.

I really like that game Boggle. Do you?

I also thank thee for thy support in the HSBA. You are making me blush here...

Sorry I've been a bit scattered on my commenting and visiting. It has been cuhrazy around here. My entire family is coming to visit beginning on Wed! Woohooo!!! I have three sisters and a brother and we all just love being together. We also all live in different states-- OK, CA, NY, TX. So it is going to be a real treat and we are going to eat a ton, laugh a lot, stay up too late (and say we won't do it again the next night but do it anyway) and just enjoy being together.

I hope you have a great week, my superfriend!

Oh, well, renting "Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End" from the library is cool. :)

If I could, I would totally take some snow off your hands. :) We did get some snow flurrys yesterday. That was cool! I just wish it wouldn't get cold when it snows. lol! I know, I'm weird. :D

Oh, I see! I agree with you that shrimp are bottom feeders and they eat all the garbage off the sea floor. That's why they taste soooooo good! :D

Yeah, it was hard to give her away but it was probably for the best. Though I'm missin' the big girl. :)

The 14 Days of Homeschooling
Published on December 3, 2007 at 3:30 PM

This Article was published in Fun, Random and Miscellaneous Things

A good friend of our family forwarded us this. I thought it was quite funny and cute. It just goes to show you that you are a witness, just by doing what you do. Homeschooling is the way to go and if you just do what you are doing, it will get noticed and it will influence people.

ENJOY!!

The 14 Days of Homeschooling

(tune of "THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS")

On the first day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Can you homeschool legally?"

On the second day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the third day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the fourth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "What about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the fifth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "YOU ARE SO STRANGE! What about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the Sixth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "How long will you homeschool, YOU 'RE SO STRANGE, what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the seventh day of home school my neighbor said to me, "Look at what they're missing, how long will you
homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE!, what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, do you
homeschool legally?"

On the eighth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "Why do you do this, look at what they're missing,
how long will you home school, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, what about P.E. do you give them tests, are they
socialized, do you homeschool legally?"

On the ninth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "They'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at
what they're missing, how long will you home school, YOU 'RE SO STRANGE!, what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, do you homeschool legally?"

On the tenth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "What about graduation, they'll miss the prom, why
do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you home school, YOU ARE SO STRANGE!, what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the eleventh day of home school my neighbor said to me, "I could never do that, what about graduation,
they'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, what about P.E. do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the twelfth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Can they go to college, I could never do that,
what about graduation, they'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, What about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can
you homeschool legally?"

On the thirteenth day of homeschool I thoughtfully replied: "They can go to college, yes you can do this, and they can graduate, we don't need the prom, we do it cuz we like it, they aren't missing anything, we'll homeschool forever, WE'RE NOT STRANGE!, We give them P.E., life it self's a test, they are socialized, AND WE HOMESCHOOL LEGALLY!

On the fourteenth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "How can I get started, why didn't you tell me,
where do I buy curriculum, when is the next conference, WILL PEOPLE THINK WE'RE STRANGE? I think we can do this, if you will help us, can we join P.E. and we'll homeschool legally.

I am very glad to be homeschooled. And yes, I will be graduating, I am socialized, people think I am strange, I do P.E., I can go to college, I am tested, I will be homeschooled forever, I am not missing anything, I don't care about the prom, and YES homeschooling is legal!!

Homeschooling is the way to go!!

As Always,

Let's see, I will go to college (Lord willing), somehow somebody's managed to homeschool me, I plan on graduating, prom--ugh!, we had a reason for doing it, the only thing I'm missing I'm glad I am, I'll be hsed forever, PE is better when it involves chasing little kids around the house, yes I am tested, socialization is not an issue, it's done legally, and I AM SO STRANGE. AND PROUD OF IT!
Haha, yes, I think I've covered it all! lol

Just goes to show that people only think a person is strange when it's out of the norm or their comfort zone. Home school is out of America's comfort zone because of the compulsory school laws for so many years. Hmm...wonder what people thought about forced schooling when it started since forced schooling was out of their comfort zone? Some things are natural like homeschooling and other things not so natural. I laugh at people's ideas against homeschooling. I am studying to be a public school teacher. Why? I have no idea. It's a degree approved by my parents. It takes 4 years, er closer to 5 years really for BS as an elementary teacher. Geez, and they think this to "professionally educate" us. I think after finals I will post a thing about my college's education goals and something I find out that is quite ick. Leave the educating to the "professionals" they say. HAHA, yes, because we know all public school teachers are just "wonderful" and are only teaching their subject. Yeah, right ( roll eyes ). I could go on forever about teachers I had and the unions. They aren't teaching things that help with the students, they want to teach you to be good little consumers. Teachers don't like homeschoolers because you see, there's what a million or more children homeschooling. That's 1 million they can't control. 1 million children that are causing them to lose money. Each time they lose a child, they lose money. And all they need is just a little more money and everything in the system will be fixed... give me a break! Personally I love the idea of homeschooling for the children's sakes. A bonus is that it makes the school system crazy that they can't control our children and by that, freedom wins. This country was founded on freedom, it's time we got more of it. Go homeschooling!

Coming from a background where homeschooling isn't possible, and being a self taught PhD, I can only agree to the statement that 'home school rules". From my point of view, public schooling has only denied me the time and opportunities to do more with my life, and instead of being my <a href='http://montessorimum.com/?p=2117'> ticket </a> to a better life, it proved to be a burden.

Yes, I had a good Thanksgiving.

LOL! I overheard Kris reading that to Katie last night! I wondered where they found it! I'm going to send this to my Grandparents. (I literally overheard them. I was on the piano bench, they were on the floor across the room.)

Last week I was in Wal-Mart and a saw a pink superman winter hat! It reminded me of you!

Sorry it's taken me so long to comment back. :)

I really enjoyed "The 14 Days of Homeschooling". It was kinda funny!

My Thanksgiving was great! I'm glad my family got to come up here and spend the week with us. :)

How come you wouldn't recommend the Joshua Harris book? I'm just wondering. It's not likely it'll change my wanting to read it. ;)

I didn't get to go leave a comment on your SuperAngelsblog. :( I didn't have time.

The news? As in, Paulie's got a new little sister? If that's it, the baby is adorable!!! If that's not the news, could you please direct me to it. :D

Well, hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!

Anyhow, I'm finally replying to all my comments. *jaw drops in amazment*

Mom and the baby are doing just fine! The baby is so cute and if you rub her neck and her cheek just right, she grins at you! Aww, she's so cute. Did I already say that?
I don't think she ever gets one minute to herself. Some one is always holding her.

Haha, anyhow, thanks for the comment. I'm just replying to the comments as I go down the list. So, as I run into more of your comments, I'll just comment back!

Yeah, if you can tell me what that says, then you are really good. I had a guest writer today, Cal-Eb, who is 2. He was feeling left out with Hannie and Lucy both getting blogs. Yes, you read right, Lucy our 4month old BEAUTY has a blog. Mom is so funny!! She had to get her username, Raspberry Pixie Muffin, before anyone else did.  Yeah, cause so many people are nicknaming their children that, right... lol!!  So go check out Hannie the Maiden In Training and Lucy the Raspberry Pixie Muffin.
I never knew I was ''Enchanted", but according to Mr. Davis, I am. LOL!! I thought it was so funny he put that on my entry in the Carnival of Homeschooling. So check that out and also The Homesteading Carnival over at ElCloud's. She did a great job.
Hmm... what else... Oh the winner's of the Tribute To My Dad Contest are below. Go check that out and the winner's entries and tell them congrats.
Oh and... here is a really cool contest you *have* to enter.

Pass the Button is a family tradition of the past where a family member would secretly bless another family member by doing a chore or deed, and then leave a pillow with a button sewn on it as a token of the deed. The principle of this is to then Pass the Button to another family member by doing a secret chore or deed and leaving the button pillow to keep the blessing going.

There are 38 prizes you can win!! WOW!! So many great homeschool resources.

If I win, which probably won't happen, I will be giving Mom all the gifts, because her birthday is like in 5 days. Wouldn't that be a really great gift. Homeschool books. Woot!!

Well there is a fun and random post for ya'll.

Here is a great quote I heard this last week. "It's the past, cause its passed. Its done and over. Its the past."

As Always,

Matt/Eragon

Romans 8: 1-11

1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, 4in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.
5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

You know you are addicted to HomeschoolBlogger when...
Published on October 14, 2006 at 5:03 PM

This Article was published in Fun, Random and Miscellaneous Things

These are taken from the Winter 2006 TOS Magazine.
By Julie
I just HAD to post these!!
The ones that I am guilty of are in
Blue

You know you are addicted to Homeschoolblogger when:
  • You can’t access HomeschoolBlogger and have a minor freakout (and email Mark) -- then get a major case of hitting “Reload” (I don't email Mark, but I do keep hitting Reload!!)
  • The first thing you do everyday when you get online is check Gena’s and all your friends’ blogs--even before you check your email.
  • You have put more time into HomeschoolBlogger than all your planning for homeschooling.
  • You find yourself composing blog entries during church, dates with husband, movies, outings with your kids, etc.
  • When you’re out you suddenly think of a witty reply to a comment someone left you a couple days ago.
  • You have consoled yourself after a horrible day, thinking, “At least this will make a great HomeschoolBlogger post.”
  • You find yourself hitting the “Random Blog” button in your sleep.
  • You've actually started calling HomeschoolBlogger HSB.
  • You consider it a great offense if someone deletes you off their friends’ list.
  • You’re jealous of people who have more friends and or comments than you and find that you must repent. (Not the friends part, just comments!!)
  • You have written a really great, solid post--only to be disappointed by the lack of comments.
  • You find yourself retelling some of JenIg’s  postings to your family and friends.
  • Instead of doing the research on your own, you post difficult questions about homeschooling on your HSB.
  • You’re guilty of commenting excessively to get more traffic to your blog. (Hmmm...do we HSBers really do that?? Who’s the highest commenter?? 3FoldChord)
  • You’ve deleted a post a few minutes (or hours) after you’ve written it, because it seemed lame in retrospect.
  • You're depressed about the look of your blog and counsel with SpunkyHomeschool.
  • You have written posts to notify people that you are going to sleep ... or that you are still in your pjs.
  • When your family asks you what’s new, you get upset because you already wrote about it on your HSB and they didn’t check it.
  • You've added someone to your friends list just because you like their HSB avatar.
  • You have more friends on HSB than you do in real life.
  • You talk about your HSB friends to your real friends like they’re a part of the group.
  • You can’t seem to call your HSB friends by their “real” names--only their blog names will do.
  • You are guilty of traveling more than an hour to meet someone from HSB. (Extra points for traveling five hours or more.) (Not yet!!)
  • You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends who are HSB addicts.

I am doing the last thing on the list.  I hope you enjoyed them!!
I am PROUD to be a HSB Addict!! I have so many friends that God has blessed me with by coming here!!
I can't wait to get our next edition of TOS Mag.!! I heard that Coie and Ryann both are featured!! YAY!!
