Well, it's that time of year again.  Today is our first day of school.  We're starting our new unit study with My Father's World and I decided to use Singapore Math this year.  I'll keep you posted on how that goes.  I think I'm really going to like both of them.  We've also joined a co-op this year and we'll be busy with that every Tuesday.  Trevor is taking writing, science, and fine arts (which is music this semester) while Ethan is just taking basic kindergarten stuff.  Aden, a.ka. Mr. Chunky Monkey, gets to just hang out with me while I volunteer wherever they need me. 

Speaking of Mr. Chunky Monkey, he had his 9 month checkup last week.  Yep, he's still HUGE. LOL  He was 26 lbs. 15 oz. and 31 1/2 inches long.  He's in the 105th percentile on the growth chart.

Whoa, that is a big fella! More of him to hug and squeeze and kiss! LOL

Happy first day of school!!! We're hoping to start back on Monday... unless we have company, then it will be postponed. Hmmm... I'll figure something out, huh? It's still weird sometimes thinking that I am in charge of my kids! Sometimes I look at them and laugh and think-- hey, where are your parents? hehe

Now see, I did learn something on your blog.... I had no idea you had decided on singapore math. Keep me posted on that; as with every math curriculum, I've heard mixed reviews.

On another note, I use singapore for my middle child.. I have mixed feelings about it. I finally had to order the homeschool companion manual for extra help. I hope it will work for us this year. I want her to get to 6th grade in it before i switch. She is in level 3A. We haven't gotten as far as I would like for someone who is bright in math. She starts 4th grade this year.
