UPDATE: I finally decided and placed the order! God's Whisper in a Mother's Chaos: Bringing Peace Home, by Kerri Wyatt Kent, and Forerunner, The Cottars. (Listen to the music clips; they're great! Hard to believe they are so young.)
I woke up this morning with "Embrace the Chaos" ringing repeatedly in my mind. (Read the excerpt at Amazon from the book referenced in the last post. That's the title of the first chapter.)
Random points:
1. I need to resume daily Bible reading with the children. I read to them today, picking up where we left off on the schedule. We are way behind, but we can still read the Bible through, no matter how long it takes us.
2. I need to connect with my children. I need to spend time with them, lavishing my attention and approval on them. I need to do things with them...play baseball, look up things they are interested in, work together, etc. I need to "smile into their faces," as the Pearls put it.
3. I need a little bit of alone time to meditate on scripture and commune with the Lord.
I think those are the extent of my spiritual disciplines for now. Maybe I'll gain more insight from that book. If I end up ordering it...it's between that one and When You Rise Up.
