Susie-Q&A

• Sep. 12, 2005 - Tip for Overcoming Clutter

Lie on your back on the sofa and stare up at the ceiling.  It's likely to be the least-cluttered spot in your house.

It works for me, anyway.

I did get the laundry caught up and straightened things and cleaned one bathroom and detailed the kitchen.  So that's pretty good for one weekend.  I ended up taking it kind of easy yesterday.  Did a "fling" run.  There's a nice lady in town who takes all my fling, no questions asked, so I brought her a carload, including an old computer!

We didn't go to church yesterday, only because it was a joint service at an unfamiliar church and I was loath to bring five children, and I was about out of gas in the van.  In fact, I breathed a sigh of relief that I made it to work this morning.  Lunch hour will be spent at the gas station and the bank.

Someone has been mutilating all the pencils in my house.  I started the "school" year with a whole box of pencils, all fully sharpened and most with erasers.  Now, most are missing erasers and I can't even sharpen them anymore.  The leads keep breaking.  That was fast!  Thank goodness pencils are cheap; better hit the dollar store.  (I think I know who the eraser-chewer is....)  Hope the homeschooling goes well for DH today.  We didn't even go over it last night.  We watched a movie instead.

Well, off to work.
