I am attempting a new prescription for my screaming toddler. It's called the "cuddle-n-plug" method. Whenever he emits a piercing shriek, I tell him "Shhh, no screaming" then I pick him up and...well, you probably figured out the plug part.
My previous methods have been a dismal failure. He likes to be held, so that always brings relief. Tempest fugit, so I'd best capitalize on the cuddling, anyway. So I'm spoiling him...eh, who cares. |
