Susie-Q&A

• Apr. 16, 2007 - Not Much Visible Difference

It doesn't look as if I did anything today, so I'm listing this to chirk myself up.

  • Cleaned out papers and trashed half a garbage bag
  • Filed a few of the papers
  • Checked bank account, estimated current balance
  • Rewrote monthly bills listing (lost in hard drive crash)
  • Copied receipts for benefits accounts claims and addressed env.; set aside to mail
  • Called Buster's specialist for further instructions
  • Called and left message with a hair stylist, but didn't hear back
  • Folded two loads of laundry right out of the dryer and washed three
  • Made my bed
  • Culled our waffle blocks downstairs and got a bag full for yard sale
  • Ditto for lincoln logs
  • Used lincoln logs box for remaining waffle blocks
  • Used empty waffle blocks tote to sort painting supplies in garage
  • Packed DH's riding gear into new tote, purchased yesterday.  It's not big enough.  :(
  • Swept kitchen floor with whiny 5yo
  • Ran a load of dishes in dishwasher
  • Fixed lunch
  • Cooked supper
  • Sorted kids' drawings and set aside for scanning later
  • Sorted out school papers for later filing
  • Changed a few diapers, wiped a few hinies
  • Picked up scattered baby books
Wow, is it ever dreary outside.  It makes me cold just looking at it.   I've got a sweater on and I'm still feeling chills rolls down my arms.  I think I need socks.

A general straightening would help this place 100%.  I've just been busy doing all that other stuff so far.  Maybe I can race around a bit and warm myself in the process.

I am amazed at the long list of things you have accomplished today. "Internal stuff" like paperwork seems more time-consuming than external stuff that really shows like cleaning & straightening up. Yet, you must feel more satisfied inside at having accomplished so much in one day. Whew! There's no law that says it has to be perfect all of the time. I hope you finally got warm today. Can you manage a nice, long, warm soak in that big tub of yours?
Love,
Yer Mom
PS: I wish posting on other blog-spots was as easy to do as yours.

We did one of those "fly around the house and put everything back in it's place" cleans 20 minutes before Jim came in from work. It made such a difference in my mood. Now if I can just get the laundry caught up...

Two more family members came down with the dreaded tummy bug. Pray for me. We are supposed to leave for a house hunting trip to San Diego Thursday. I really don't want to get sick.

I just checked out your blog from the Shed--sounds like you got a lot done today! What do your kids do while you do all that?
