Susie-Q&A

• Jan. 20, 2008 - Obligatory Update Again

I'm here and alive, but we have several with the sniffles and a couple who are starting to sound croupy.  I've been doing endless laundry, and that, plus sickness, doesn't make for inspired blogging (unless you're Katie B., maybe).  I did take a couple of pictures, but mostly of the new freezer.  I'm sure y'all know already what a chest freezer looks like.

I already have food in the freezer, too, since a generous friend shared of her bounty with us.

Fuzzy has the sniffles, too, unfortunately, and I hope he won't get a cough.  I'm watching him like a hawk.  I haven't had a sick newborn in ages and ages, so I couldn't even remember what the treatment plan is.  Had to call the pediatrician's office.  Answer:  Not much.  Nasal drops and suctioning, which I am particularly bad at.  (I'm avoiding the obvious pun.)  Nothing like trying to suction the nose of a hungry, screaming baby, so he can breathe enough to eat.  Talk about trying to hit a moving target.

Otherwise, Fuzzy is doing well.  He is calmer than he used to be, and has longer "playtimes."  He is getting more talkative and sociable.  He enjoyed playing in his bouncy seat during my shower this morning.

Hubby has gone to church by himself.  He, too, was sick yesterday and slept it off.  He's planning to do some necessary shopping for me this afternoon.  It's 28 degrees here, so it's a good day for the rest of us to hole up.  No AWANA tonight!   My plan today is to straighten the basement/playroom.  Exciting stuff!

Ugh, somebody drooled on the keyboard.

Praying that everyone there will soon be back to normal! It's hard when the new baby is ill.

Get some rest!

No fun with everyone being sick. I've had two down this week - Becca out of school for 3 days and William down with the FLU. Blech. Praise the Lord, Sarah has thus remained healthy. And, miracle of miracles, so has Rachel.

Let me know if there is anything I can do - send another meal or two your way, grab some stuff from Costco or Target, whatever
