12 Days and counting until moving day....

December 1st and it's snowing!  One of my girls said it was the "best day of their life" today -- because of the snow-- so cute.    Doesn't fresh snow bring a special little happy feeling in your heart?  I loved watching my girls playing in it today AND what made it even more special was that they were able to play in the snow with their cousins.  They had a ball!

Do you like my new little "Hawaiian"  version of the song, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"?  I added it to my playlist because of something sweet  I heard today.....We have a family in our neighborhood who just moved here from Hawaii.   As I let the dog out this afternoon, I heard the dad of this family saying (on his cell phone), "It's just beautiful!  I'll have to email pictures.  I just had to tell someone...."  It was so cute!   He was taking a walk, talking on his cell phone (obviously to someone in Hawaii) and he just kept looking all around at the trees and the sky.  I felt like I was watching a little boy seeing snow for the first time.  It made me smile.

Well, 12 days until moving day.  Hard to believe.  Today we bought the new refrigerator, washer and dryer.  I asked the gal at Sears how long a refrigerator is supposed to last.  She said they used to last 20 years and now last 6 to 7 years.  Can you believe that?  I am not sure what to think of that.   The consolation is if you buy a fridge and find out you don't like it, you only will have to put up with it for approximately 6 years.

It is a wonderful world when a father has such a sweet daughter who appreciates the beauty of the season, especially the snow, which reflects the absolute purity of Jesus Christ. Every flake is different , just like those little girls, one of whom thought it was the best day of her life when the snow came! Cherish those moments of child like wonder1
